Business Vertigo: Why Ignoring the Warning Signs Could Lead to Disaster

Business Vertigo- Why Ignoring the Warning Signs Could Lead to Disaster

Three Powerful Steps to Refocus, Realign, and Reposition Your Business for Success

I knew something was wrong the moment I rolled onto my back from a deep sleep and my head felt like it was in a washing machine on the spin cycle.

All I could do was clamp my eyes shut and hope this dizzying feeling went away before I threw up all over the clean bedding.

It was the weirdest feeling I’ve ever experienced, and it scared the living daylights out of me!

This happened to me not long ago, causing me to go through every doomsday scenario I could imagine.

Did I have a stroke? Have I got a brain tumor? Is this a symptom of COVID?

The guesses kept coming and they certainly didn’t alleviate the panic that was overwhelming me.

Have you ever felt like that when it comes to your business?

Like something’s seriously out of whack and spinning out of control?

Sales have slowed down.

Leads are drying up.

You haven’t done anything differently, but the lack of results is showing that something is wrong.

You’re worried that if this keeps up, you don’t know what might happen, and doomsday scenarios of bankruptcy are flying through your head.

At this point, it may seem like all is lost, but rest assured, your episode of business vertigo may not be as bad as it seems.

But that doesn’t mean you should continue to lie there, holding your head in anguish, and not be proactive about the situation.

With that in mind, here are three recommendations you might want to consider when things are feeling out of control in relation to your business:

1) It might be time to revisit your mission and value statements and spend some time thinking about why you’re in business to begin with. This process will give you an opportunity to update these aspects of your brand, and it may also remind you of your reasons for doing what you do.

2) I would then take it another step further and re-evaluate your ideal target audience. Has this shifted over the years but your marketing message hasn’t? Because if you’re not communicating the right way with the people you want to serve, there could be a big disconnect happening, and this could be the cause of your lack of leads or sales.

3) Once you’re clear on the wants and needs of your ideal target audience, you should evaluate your lead generation process and assess whether it needs to be updated or overhauled.

You see, the problem could boil down to you needing to adjust your brand positioning.

Over the years, I’ve had to do the same thing and I have always come out of the process with a new perspective that started to bring in qualified leads again.

But typically this process is hard to do alone.

That being said, having someone to work with, bounce ideas off of, and offer a different point of view may be just what you need to make a critical turnaround for your business.

If this sounds like something that would help you, I invite you to sign up for a limited-time offer where, at no cost, I’m gifting a handful of small business owners like you a free Brand Brilliance Checklist plus a complimentary 30 minutes with me to work on your Brand Fame Strategy Map.

This is what I do for a living, and I typically charge a minimum of $250 for this service, so I’m going to be selective about whom I gift this to.

But if you’re seriously committed to turning your business around to be a more profitable enterprise, then I want to help.

Not sure if brand positioning is the problem?

If I showed you the red letters that make up the Netflix logo, you’d recognize it, right?

If you want to be successful and resonate with your ideal target market, you have to be a brand that’s recognizable.

And to get recognized, you need to stand out, be heard, and be trusted.

So, why not spend 30 minutes with me and find out what you need to do to be famous in your industry and get those leads and sales coming in again?

In any case, if you’re struggling with your business, going through my Brand Brilliance Checklist will give you greater clarity on what you’re dealing with and help you fix any issues you’re having.

So, if you’re ready to revamp your brand, and revitalize your business, download the checklist, book your free 30-minute consultation, and let’s get started today.

As for me, after having several episodes over the next couple of days, I did seek help.

I went to the emergency room and was diagnosed with Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV).

Thankfully, it’s something that was easily fixed with just a few specific exercises.

And just like me, that feeling of your business being out of control may also be easily fixed by just going back to the basics, following a proven roadmap, and righting the path to success.

I look forward to helping you soon!

To your business success,
Susan Friesen
