What Paint by Numbers Taught Me About Building a Brilliant Brand

How a simple hobby reveals the power of a clear five-part framework for your business

My husband Daniel gave me an adult paint-by-numbers set for my birthday. It has a lot of promise to fit beautifully in my office because it features many of our brand colours.

At first, though, I felt overwhelmed. All I saw were hundreds of tiny spaces, each demanding precision and steadiness to stay within the lines for a single colour. It made me wonder if I’d ever get through it.

But once I started, something shifted. I found a rhythm. I got into the flow. And soon, I could see the bigger picture coming together.

And it was that moment that taught me something important about branding.
