How to Set Your Social Media Goals For 2018

How to Set Your Social Media Goals For 2018

Social media experts are everywhere and there are many varying opinions on what’s ahead in the constantly changing landscape.

In this post we’re going to look at setting your goals based on what you’ve done so far and how you should adjust it so you’re getting the most out of your content marketing.

If you’ve never taken stock of your social media or set goals, then this is the article for you.

For tips on how to improve your social media, read our article: How to Incorporate Content Marketing into Twitter

It’s important to measure the successes and failures honestly and to set your ego aside and admit that some of what you did may have been wasted effort.

  1. Check Your Reports

Do you keep reports? You definitely should so you can assess the efficacy of what you spent time putting online. A report can look any way you want but if you need direction Smartsheet has a free social media report template to get you started.

Look for metrics like engagement instead of impressions. With impressions and low clicks, you’re doing more harm than good. Look at how your content performed and create categories for it all.

This information is like your potential leads all telling you what they liked or didn’t.Take that into account when planning out 2018’s content.

Each social media platform offers free analytics on the profile’s performance, so you can see what you’ve shared that resonated and what fell flat. Look for patterns and topics that show users had consistent interest in something you can then repeat.

You can even take the step of starting paid promotion for your business  if you’re up for a challenge! If you need any extra help in taking things to the next level, just give us a call! We’re constantly on social media and we analyze our reports every single month like clockwork.

  2. Study Your Website Analytics

Google Analytics is a great free tool provided by Google that is essential to planning your social media in 2018. Why? This is where you find out how much of what you did actually drove traffic to your business.

If you don’t have it already then getting Google Analytics set up is necessary. If you run into issues just contact us. One of our online marketing experts can do it very quickly and once you see what you can find out about your website you’ll be amazed.

If you do have it set up, then check your Acquisition section for Social and then Network Referrals. You’ll be able to see the past year by selecting the previous year as the date range. This will show you just how many people have clicked on your social media posts and landed on your website.

This won’t matter when it comes to what you shared but it does matter if you’ve done posting that points people toward your website.

You should always incorporate some sales-oriented messaging that shows your client’s your business so while you don’t want to be a serial self promoter you don’t want to be absent any self promotion entirely.

  3. Set Your Goals

The first two steps should give you an understanding of where you are and now it’s time to take that information and plan where you’re going.

What drew clicks? What got shared? What worked and what didn’t?

If something looks off and is clearly not working then assess whether your time would be better spent elsewhere. Another issue might be the audience of a platform dwindling. Genuinely look out for platforms that have lost their audience because, while rare, it has happened in the past.

Are you spending a lot of time posting to Facebook? Try putting some of that effort into Instagram if your target market is also on that platform.

On average the approximate Instagram brand follower growth is 6 – 8% per month. You may not be able to recreate that, but you should see some solid numbers if you’re posting good images regularly.

When were your posts most effective? Pinterest trends show increased usage in the summer and around Christmas with spring and fall seeing big dips.

Look at your reports and if you used Pinterest see if your stats align with this. Plan a posting schedule so you know when what you post will have the most effect.

When you set your goals keep in mind you may not attain them and that’s fine. As long as what you’re doing is honest then you’re in better shape than most.

Post genuine content about your business and share content you see as having sincere value to people interested in what you do. You’ll not only grow your followers and friends, but you’ll grow them with people who have value to more than the possible optics of high numbers on a profile.

The most important stat is your bottom line. You are spending your time marketing yourself on social media for a reason and if you have professional social media experts helping you then you’re spending your money too.

Your main goal out of all of it is: did this help my business? If the answer is no, then take into account that your previous goals (or a lack of them) were incorrect.

Don’t fret doing any of this by the way. The biggest mistake you can make is to allow this to become a chore rather than a positive part of your business. When you’re enjoying yourself, you’ll find you share better content and you convey that emotion through to potential clients, which is much better than putting out a perception that you’re agitated.

If you’re finding no matter what you do maintaining your social media is a burden, then get in touch with us so we can handle it for you.

Why Having FOCUS Is Key To Manifesting What You Want

Why Having FOCUS Is Key To Manifesting What You Want

The Law of Attraction is all about vibrations and its job description is to ‘match vibrations’ and those are either positive or negative.

When you focus on what you want by putting out a positive vibe, the Law of Attraction is happy to bring you what you need to do, know or have.

If you find yourself grumbling about this and that in your life, how much you have to do and how you know you’ll never get it all done – well, the Law of Attraction just gives you more of that madness too!

Multitasking Is Not The Way To Start Your Day

Most entrepreneurs find themselves having to play a lot of different roles in their business and wear many different hats. It’s like you are a juggler with business tasks and personal tasks trying to keep them all going at the same time.

If you happen to be a mom-preneur or dad-preneur then you have the added responsibility of taking care of children too!

You might be someone who starts your day with an impressive ‘To Do List’ or, you might just ‘wing’ it and see how the day unfolds. Either way you most likely find yourself multitasking and not really accomplishing all that you wanted to.

The best way to start your day from a Law of Attraction perspective is to:

  1. Set your intention – ask yourself how you want to see your day unfolding – put the focus only on business goals (your personal goals can be handled in a different way on a different day)
  2. Create 3 business goals that you want to accomplish or get started on – prioritize what needs to get done by the urgency of the task (usually time sensitive)
  3. Remove each achieved goal and continue to create another list with just 3 goals – make them manageable, realistic goals that you know you will feel better once they are accomplished
  4. Celebrate your success – doesn’t matter how you celebrate just do it and if you can put in some movement with your celebration (happy dances are good) to anchor this great feeling in your body, all the better
  5. Do ‘segment intentions’ – if you find yourself pulled away from something you had prioritized because something just came to you that is time sensitive then, set another intention

Focus On What You Want and Not On What You Do Not Want

You may have never thought of this but everything you decide you ‘want’ you arrived at that decision by noticing what you ‘do not want’. In Law of Attraction lingo we call this getting to CLARITY from CONTRAST.

When you go into a new restaurant you finally decide what you do want by looking at everything you don’t want. You use this technique throughout your personal and professional lives whether you are aware of it or not.

If you are working on several different projects, think about narrowing those down and focus on  only 1 or 2 and until you have achieved what you wanted to achieve.

When you are unfocused and have too many goals or projects on the go then you are being ‘wishy washy’ and the Law of Attraction doesn’t know what you really want so it too, will dilute what you manifest.

Take 1 project and create a list of everything you ‘Don’t Want aka Contrast’ and then create another list of everything you ‘Do Want aka Clarity’.

Delete everything you don’t want and focus only on the new list which gives you the clarity of what you do want!

Business eTip: What Exactly Is Business Branding?

Today’s video eTip will dive into business branding. Watch today’s video tip to find out why almost everyone has different ideas about what business branding actually is and how you can navigate through that confusion.

What is business branding?

Some people think it’s just your logo.

Other people think it’s your website.

Yet other people think it’s your tagline.

The truth is, your branding is actually the representation of the essence of your business. It encapsulates both you and your business so that people get a feel for what it would be like to either work with you or purchase one of your products.

What is your unique selling position?

The first thing you need to do in order to establish a brand is to fully understand how you want your business to be positioned in respect to your competition; what do you want your reputation to be within your industry and who is your ideal target market?

Ultimately, exploring these elements will help you determine what people would say about your brand after they’ve interacted with it in some manner. In doing so, you can then emulate that “brand story” if it fits your vision or adjust your positioning accordingly to produce an identity that’s more in-line with your business goals.

Making sense of it all

If you’re new to the world of branding and marketing, it’s not always easy to formulate a branding strategy that consistently delivers that “brand story” to your audience. There’s too many elements to keep track of and oftentimes your message can become disjointed and malformed, like a game of telephone.

I can help you with that.

I specialize in streamlining your brand to fit a cohesive narrative that encompasses your logo, website, social media and all supporting marketing materials. Taking this integrated approach is the reason why my clients have so much success with their branding – I help connect your brand with the right audience who are ready, willing and able to do business with you.

If you have any questions about branding or anything at all, feel free to leave a message in the comment section below and I’d be happy to answer. Or if you are interested in more information about how to market your business, sign up for my free newsletter.

Until next time,

4 Content Marketing Trends for Business Owners in 2017

4 Content Marketing Trends for Business Owners in 2017

As we approach 2017, it’s interesting to think about where we’re headed in the coming year when it comes to marketing our business.

All business owners want to stay on top of their game by being prepared for what’s ahead but in today’s fast-changing world, what does that look like?

To stay on top of your content marketing game in 2017, plan ahead nowClick To Tweet

Below are some content marketing trends you’ll want to prepare for when marketing your business in the coming year:

  1. Incorporate More Social Media Graphics, Infographics, Visuals and Videos.  Since your followers are 80 percent more likely to read your content if you use coloured visuals, this area needs to be built up more across your social media channels.

The popularity of visual content will only increase, so you must be prepared. Using Facebook live is still a hot commodity so be sure to dive into that opportunity too!
  2. Build a Team.  60 percent of marketers in one survey said content creation was their biggest challenge last year.

To overcome this obstacle, get a team of people to help make content development and publishing easy. This includes having a good writer (could be a specialist in essay writing service) and social media specialist.
  3. Tap Into Influencers.  90% of consumers trust peer recommendations where only 33% trust ads.

Consumers have begun to tune out traditional ads and increasingly connect to their social networks to guide their buying decisions. That’s why connecting with influencers is so important.

What is an influencer? “Influencers are people with significant networks (followers, readers, etc.) who can speak to a broad range of products and services with the ability to sway opinions in their favor.”  –  Jess Estrada.

Identify influencers to reach out to in your industry. Follow them on social media and see where you can strike up a conversation.
  4. Drive Content Marketing Leads into a Funnel. High value content is one thing, but if you don’t build in a strategy that continues building rapport with prospects in the right way, you are leaving money on the table.

Content Marketing is a highly effective way to segment your audience and send them targeted follow-ups and offers, instead of adding them to your main email list.

Creating an Effective Content Marketing Plan for 2017

One of the biggest mistakes I have seen businesses make is they jump into content marketing without a strategy.  While trying to appeal to their target market, they slap together a couple of eBooks and free offerings and hope it will be enough to drive sales.

The first step to making content marketing really work for you is to have a solid, smart content marketing plan in place.

Make sure you outline the following essentials in your content marketing plan:

  • Understand Who You Are Marketing to. Before starting any kind of marketing strategy, it’s vital you understand who your ideal target market is. There’s no point in investing your time and money into marketing when you don’t have a clear understanding of who you want to buy from you.
  • A Comprehensive Review of Past Efforts.  Review your past content marketing efforts and results from 2016. This helps you to see what was most effective, what wasn’t, and develop a plan to improve for next year.
  • Set Goals and Benchmarks to Determine Future Campaign Success. Having a clear understanding of what you want to accomplish and what that will look like is important.

Do you want to develop awareness? Are you working to build brand loyalty? Are you educating prospects? Want to increase engagement with your tribe? Are you increasing sales and profitability?
  • Develop Content Ideas that Align with Sales Goals.  Here’s some example sales goals:
    • Boost sales of Mega Fit Bootcamp by 25%.
    • Get 50 new leads a month into our sales funnel.
    • Create an eBook on Sales Tips for People Who Hate to Sell to drive leads to the funnel.
  • Plan a Content Marketing Calendar with Dates and Deadlines. Create an editorial calendar that clearly lays out your dates and deadlines so you can easily prioritize your efforts. This eliminates the “what do I write” problem.

It also makes it much easier to work ahead on content and delegate to team members.

I hope you’d enjoyed these highlights, stats, and facts to help you prepare for content marketing in the coming year.

If you’re feeling this topic is a bit overwhelming, I invite you to join my Social Blast monthly membership program where I cover content marketing tactics and strategies. Click here for details.

I’m curious: What changes do you plan to make to your social media strategy in 2017?

How Committed Are You To Your Business?

Today’s eTip asks you an important question – just how committed are you to your business?

Today I want to ask you a question, just how committed are you to your business?
Over the years I’ve noticed some entrepreneurs are a bit lackadaisical about their approach to their business. They’ll take tons of time off, especially during the summer.

They have lots of reasons not to work on their business; either their kids need them or their parents need them or their husband needs them. The laundry is far more important than actually working on their business…

So that’s why I’m asking that question today because if you are not really super committed to actually creating a business as opposed to a hobby or finding that next to ‘get rich quick scheme’ and just making a load money that you think you can make watching all of these gurus online.

Think about that… how committed are you to your business?

How committed are you to your business?Click To Tweet

There is no right or wrong answer. Of course I’m not judging you here. I just want to help you clarify what is it that you are willing to do, what is it that you are willing to commit to in order to make your business actually a success, if that’s what you want.

It may be best to even define what success means to you.

Sometimes making money is not the ultimate goal here. Sometimes you need to feel more fulfilled, feel like you are following your life’s purpose.

Whatever that means to you, make a commitment.

Make a commitment to actually fulfill whatever your dream is and not waste any time and let excuses get in the way of preventing you from fulfilling that dream.

Do a one-year or five-year plan. Try to think about what is it that you really want to accomplish. Are you just making some extra cash or are you really trying to build a business?

If you are really trying to build a business, what exactly are you committed to? Are you going to work five, six, seven days a week or are you going to allow a lot of excuses to get in the way to stop you from doing the work that needs to be done in order to create a lifelong sustainable business?

Let me know what you think! Leave a comment below and if you have any questions or comments I’ll be sure to answer.

Summer is Almost Over: Here’s 10 Ways to Get Back to Business for Fall

10 Ways to Get Back to Business for the Fall

As the dog days of Summer come to an end, it’s time to ramp up your business plans for Fall.  There’s no better time than now to put things into high gear.

There's no better time than NOW to ramp up your business for the rest of the yearClick To Tweet

After reading this list of practical ideas you will be able to get back to business armed with great ideas and inspiration to help you finish the year on a high note.

  1. Review and Assess. Many small business owners spent so much time working IN their business, that they don’t take time to plan, review and strategize ON their business.

Schedule quiet time away from the office to think, dream, and assess. Here’s some questions to ponder:

    • Have you reached your goals?
    • If so, what attributed to your success?
    • If not, what got in your way?
    • Did you reach your revenue goals?
    • How many new clients did you gain?
    • How did those clients find you?
    • What areas of your business were the most profitable?
    • Are there expenses you need to keep an eye on?
    • Which marketing activities get the best return on investment?
    • Are there people you need to follow up with that are back from vacation?
  2. Make Goal Cards. I am a firm believer in the power of focus and intention. Writing down your goals and reviewing them daily keeps them top of mind.  It also keeps you from getting sidetracked from things that are not in alignment with your top priorities.

I love to take time in the morning visualizing each goal as if it has already come true.  This gets me engaged and excited to do whatever it takes to make my business goals materialize.
  3. Define Action Items. Take your goals and break them down into action items with deadlines.

Define what you will do yourself, what you can assign to a team member, and what you can outsource. Wunderlist, Asana, and Basecamp are excellent project management tools that make it easy to track, manage, and follow progress of tasks for virtual teams. We use eGroupware and it works great for our virtual team productivity.
  4. Identify Resources Needed. What do you need to make your goals happen? Do you need to hire new team members? Do you need to learn a new skill? Should you invest in new technology or software to get it accomplished? Will you hire a coach or mentor to keep you on track with your goals? Is there an industry event you should attend? Are there new networking groups you should look into?

Arm yourself with everything you need to make your goals a reality.
  5. Update Your Website. Carefully review your website to see what is out of date from this summer and update it with new information about upcoming Fall promotions, new blog posts, and change anything else that is no longer applicable to your business.

If you haven’t given it much thought, now is the time to stop neglecting your website and get it working FOR you instead of AGAINST you.
  6. Holiday Planning. There’s still time to have a back to school sale. Plus, Thanksgiving, Halloween and Christmas are just around the corner.

Many people start holiday shopping early.  So, plan your seasonal promotions and plan out your marketing calendar accordingly.

Organize your plans and promotions such as:

    • Put your summer items on a clearance sale.
    • Create a new product or program launch around a holiday theme.
    • Get extra visibility by signing up for Fall events and trade shows.
    • Schedule your Cyber Monday shopping specials.
    • Write and pre-schedule your email marketing, and social media, and blog posts now so you can kick back and relax with your family during the holidays instead of slaving over your business.
  7. Offer Gift Cards and Top Holiday Gift Ideas. Make it easy for shoppers looking for gifts for those hard-to-buy-for individuals.
    • Make a landing page just for your gift cards.
    • Add a navigation button on your website.
    • Make social media graphics to promote your gift cards and top gift items.
    • Write a blog post with the most popular gift items you offer.
  8. Boost Sales with a Facebook Ad. Grab holiday sales fast by setting up a Facebook ad that captures buyers attention. Re-market to your business’s Facebook Page visitors using a custom audience re-targeting pixel on your website.

For example if someone is looking at “gifts for dad” on your website, use a Facebook re-targeting pixel to show your ads for best gifts for dad to them on their Facebook feed!

Not sure how to do all that? Get help from a marketer who knows how to get the best value from those efforts.
  9. Show Gratitude with Season Cards. Now is not too early to hunt for those perfect holiday cards. Better yet, get a card custom designed to enhance and really showcase your brand.

Let your clients, colleagues, staff, and trusted vendors know how much you appreciate them.

One idea to stand out from the crowd is to send Thanksgiving or New Years cards instead of the typical Christmas card.
  10. Schedule Your Holiday Vacation Time Now. Encourage team members to put in their vacation requests early too. This gives you time to work out any scheduling issues and make holiday time less stressful.

I hope this inspires you to come up with creative and profitable plans to build your business as we near the Fall season.

A systematic approach to a fall review can produce amazing results if you plan in detail and cover all the bases.

The more you plan now, the easier and more successful your business will be for the rest of the year.

Do you have any further tips you can share about getting back into business focus once summer is almost over?

To your success,

Why ‘Acting As If’ Is Not Working For Your Business Abundance

Superhero Kids

We often hear that if you ‘Act As If’ you have something already you will attract it to you. Every wonder why this works for some people to achieve business abundance and not others?

What does ‘Act As If’ mean?  It means that if you want something, you must act as if you already have it in order to get it.

For example if you want to have an abundant business you must act as if you already have that. If you want to have ideal clients you must act as if you already have them.

Act as if you already have what you want!It might not be working for you for a few reasons:

  1. If you are someone who thinks about what you want but haven’t taken the time to get really clear on what it is you want.

The Law of Attraction cannot give you what you want if you don’t know what it is you want.

  2. If you flip-flop back and forth about believing what you want is possible, the amount of doubt you have will directly effects how much you manifest what you want.

This self-doubt is filled with negative emotions and vibrations.

You need to have a strong clear desire for what you really want AND you need to
remove as much doubt as possible to manifest what you want!

For some people they may feel like a ‘fraud’ trying to be someone they are not. If you feel that way then you need to have a mindset shift because that attitude will never having you ‘act as if’ you had what you wanted.

You can tell yourself that you are ‘in the process of creating the perfect business for yourself with ideal clients’.

You have to feel good about what you are saying or doing to achieve what you want. Without feeling good about yourself you will never manifest something better for yourself.

Here are a few tips to help you get some clarity and remove some of the doubt that you can ‘Act As If’ and manifest your desires:

  • Check out other business entrepreneurs who already have what you want. How do they act? What do they look like? How do they dress? Who do they hang out with?  Start modeling them in a way that feels good to you.

  • Create a ‘Clarity through Contrast‘ worksheet where you make a list of what you don’t want and then a list of what your business will look like AFTER you have what you want.

  • If you like to see a visual, then do a ‘Vision Board‘ with the focus on how you will feel when you have what you want.

  • Write out your story about what will happen when you manifest your desire. Start each sentence with ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice If…‘ and then write like crazy for at least 60 seconds… you can come back to this at any time.

  • Take some ‘meditation – manifesting time‘ every day so that you start to feel what is possible.

  • Always put what you want out there and let the Law of Attraction bring it to you and remember to be OPEN and say that this would be good OR MORE!

  • If affirmations work for you – great keep using them – but if not, try saying this “I am in the process of attracting my ideal _____” (you fill in the blank).

Start paying attention to the evidence of manifesting coming your way once you start to ‘Act As If’. Go BEYOND what your goal is!

Think even BIGGER THOUGHTS once you see the evidence and remember always to express gratitude for what you are attracting.

6 Steps To Nurturing A Profitable Business

6 Steps To Nurturing A Profitable Business

Why are you in business?

If you just responded saying it is to help others or to make the world a better place or some other lofty vision, you are only partially correct.

The truth is, you are in business to make money.

Without money, you can’t be sustainable or make much of a difference and it’s really tough to be able to help others when you can hardly help yourself.

The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing. ~Walt DisneyClick To Tweet

I see this kind of struggle every day when talking with entrepreneurs and new business owners where they have an amazing vision and strong desire to make a difference yet can’t make ends meet.

With this in mind, I’ve put together some pointers that have helped me build a multi 6-figure business.

With a New Year upon us, I encourage you to implement some or all of these suggestions and you’ll be on your way to fulfilling the reason why you are in business to begin with.

And you do this by nurturing your business to success!

  1. STEP ONE: Nurture Your Vision

Create specific goals that will lead you to fulfilling your vision.

Do this by first understanding what you want your business to look like a year, two years and five years from now.

Then create a plan that will support those goals.

What needs to be in place in order to achieve those goals? How much income do you need to be able to pay your bills and live comfortably?

Then calculate how many clients and/or sales do you need in order to accomplish that goal. This roadmap will be what you follow to achieve your vision.

And remember to treat your business as a business instead of a hobby (which is what happens when we allow every day distractions take us away from achieving our business goals.) This mindset shift alone will make an incredible difference to your success.

Make a commitment and don’t let excuses get in the way of honouring that commitment.

Daniel and I work 15 hour days most every day of the week. We don’t let excuses of being tired or having a cold distract us from reaching our goals. This kind of committed mindset is what you need to also have to accomplish yours.

  2. STEP TWO: Nurture your marketing

This step is vital to your business success. Period.

Without marketing your business, you will not flourish because no one will know you exist!  Here are some tips to get you going:

Do a thorough analysis on who your ideal target market is, what their struggles and  needs are and how you can help them. Get to know exactly who it is that you want to attract as a customer.

Spend at least an hour or two a day minimum working ON your business.  And if you can’t take that time, hire a competent marketing firm that can do a lot of it for you (and the bonus is that you’ll benefit from their expertise, which will save you more time, energy and money in the long run.)

Market yourself daily via social media, networking groups, blog postings and commenting on other blog posts.

This does not mean pushing your products or services on others. Your goal is to get in front of your ideal target market and develop relationships with them so they can begin to know, like and trust you.

When I first started out in business, I did a lot of volunteering where I could showcase my website design and development expertise. I worked with several non-profits and gained a lot of valuable experience along the way.

If you have a service-based business, considering doing the same. Not only will it help build your brand exposure and gain a valuable reputation as someone who is contributing to the community, you will also be able to use this as a great learning experience to build your skillset at the same time.

  3. STEP THREE: Nurture Your Existing Clients

The best way to build your business is through referrals.

When a client is pleased with your offerings, they will be more than happy to tell others about you.

Here are a few pointers on how to achieve this:

Demonstrate you care about them by being accessible and responding to their needs in a timely manner.

Let them know you’re thinking about them and share articles, resources and other things you find that they will appreciate receiving.

Follow up to see how they are doing.

Thank them for being a client/doing business with you.

Stay in touch on a regular basis through social media, blog posts and newsletters.

eVision Media is built on an approximate 90-95% referral base. We do very little marketing aside from our social media efforts. Most all of our new and ongoing business is a result of having and nurturing happy clients.

What can you do today to start developing a happy customer base that will think of you when they come across others who could use your product or service?

  4. STEP FOUR: Nurture Your Team

It is nearly impossible to build a successful business without any help.

Build a team of resources (either as employees, contractors or agencies with specific expertise) who can offset your weaknesses. Delegate as much as you can of the stuff you really don’t like doing or don’t know how to do (properly).

Lead your team by example and be generous with encouragement, praise, gratitude and respect.

Have your team feel like they are a part of the overall business success where they can help by brainstorming new ideas and finding ways things can be improved.

My first hire was a programmer many years ago. I knew the more higher-end programming was one of my weaknesses (nor did I want to further develop that skillset) so I sought to hire someone who’s passion was in programming.

Today, we comprise of a team of 10 people who all bring to the table their particular expertise in design, copywriting, Social Media, online marketing, SEO, and of course programming. I could never accomplish any of what we have achieved without such a team in place.

What are your weaknesses that you are trying to do yourself that you should be delegating instead?

  5. STEP FIVE: Nurture Your Systems and Processes

It’s probably the last thing you want to do, but it’s critical to document everything you do and how you do it as if you were going to re-create your business as a franchise. (Read Michael E. Gerber’s The E-Myth Revisited to find out how.)

This step will save you countless amounts of time and energy, especially as you build your team while growing your business. We have several systems in place that keep our virtual team atmosphere running smoothly and efficiently.

One of the key areas to be mindful of is communications between you and your team members.  It’s easy to let things fall through the cracks if you don’t have a check and balance system in place.

  6. STEP SIX: Nurture Your Self

I encourage you to believe in what you are doing and have confidence and trust that everything will work out.

Stop chasing after every guru out there and start trusting that you already have the knowledge and resources you need to succeed.

Stay on track by following your plan and don’t let the shiny object syndrome continually pull you and your team in several different directions.

Find a mentor, mastermind group or coach that will not only support you but guide you on how to implement your plans and allow your brilliance to shine. You’ll stop wasting time and money and start focusing on what is most important so you can grow more quickly and get the support you need.

Having gratitude is a big part of our day, every day. The more we focus on being grateful for what we have, the more positive our lives become. Find something to be grateful for instead of focusing on what you don’t have and this will have a profound impact on your success.

By nurturing your business using these 6 steps, you will not only enjoy growth and sustainability but also the success you desire!

I’d love to hear from you! Comment below and share your challenges or perhaps some ideas of your own that can help nurture your business to success.

Top Success Principles for Breakthrough Success

Top Success Principles for Breakthrough Success

I’ve been working with several mentoring clients lately who are looking ahead and coming up with a goal sheet on what they want to accomplish next year. With the end of the year almost here, now is definitely a great time to be doing this exercise.

But goal setting can be a scary process for many…

Is business goal setting scary for you too?Click To Tweet

What often happens when big goals like this are solidified on paper and you are opening yourself up to the possibilities of what could be achieved, you may also be closing the door on what’s truly possible for you…

As an example, at first you may find yourself listing your big goals like “hold my first virtual summit”, “earn $100,000 in sales” or “write my second book”.

Then as you review the list your inner gremlin starts to kick in…

“This isn’t realistic”
“I don’t even know where to begin to achieve this”
“I’ll never find the time to make that happen.”
“Who am I trying to fool here!”
“I can’t possibly…”

And before you know it you’ve become your own dream killer.

But it doesn’t have the be that way.

Are you ready to take a giant leap forward? Or even get started for that matter? Here is https://citrusnorth.com/unsecured-loans/ to your inner critic and set yourself up for success in the coming year.

  • Decide what you want. If you want to stay stuck, going with the status-quo and not taking time to figure out what you really want is a sure-fire formula to do it.

Make a coffee date for yourself. Bring a notebook and pen. Ask yourself what you want to see happen in your life, relationships, finances and health.

What do you want to accomplish in your business this year? What do you want to experience? Imagine that you have a magic wand and anything you dream is possible.

  • Dare to dream BIG! Jim Rohn says “You should set a goal big enough that in the process of achieving it, you become someone worth becoming.”

Don’t edit yourself.  Let the ideas flow. The more specific you are about the details, the better.  The Law of attraction is powerful when you visualize every detail about what you want.

  • Create a plan to make it happen. Napoleon Hill once said, “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” Own the confidence that the dream that’s planted in your heart will happen.

  • Believe firmly in your mind and heart that this WILL happen. Let your passion take over and provide the fuel to drive you forward. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Instead of “How can I…” (a limiting question) Ask yourself “In what way can I…..” (a question that comes from a place of abundance saying there IS an answer.)

  • Feel the fear and do it anyway.  There’s nothing more liberating than pushing through where you are unsure and then realizing success.  The exhilaration you’ll feel when you push past your own limits is so empowering.
  • Own the vision of your goal already accomplished.  Make a dream map with pictures of your goal completed.  Write affirmations that show your gratitude for accomplishing this task (before it’s occurred).  “I am so happy and grateful now that….”

Make a video with images and affirmations combined.  com is a powerful tool that makes it easy.

  • Keep taking steps forward.  When you step out in faith, the universe conspires on your part to bring you what you desire.  An object in motion, stays in motion.  It takes much more energy to move a stopped object forward.
  • Have trust. Let go of the need to control everything.  Believe in the abundance of the universe to attract the resources, tools, people, and opportunities you need to accomplish your goals.
  • Be grateful always. Gratitude is one of the most powerful positive vibrations.  Take time daily to acknowledge what you are thankful for.

When you focus on the blessings, you will find there are more things you are blessed with.

  • Engage in a morning practice to recharge. Spend time every morning thinking about your perfect day, visualizing what you’d like to create… acknowledging what you are grateful for, releasing negative charges that have occurred, and centering yourself in joy and love.

When you are grounded, your day will flow with much more ease.  With a full heart and mind, you’ll have the inner strength you need to move mountains.

You are stronger than you know, more capable than you can imagine. Believe in your dreams and know that you have everything inside you need to make it happen.

Once you get clear about what you want and own that it’s possible you’ll discover it is much easier to get what you want by taking control of your thoughts, your visualizations, and your actions!

Here’s to creating the best year ever for your life and business. If you could use some help figuring out how to accomplish your business goals, ask me about my mentoring packages!
