Law Of Attraction: How To Engineer Your Brain To Succeed In Business

When it comes to building a prosperous business, your brain is the greatest tool you have.

It’s not an esoteric concept… but it does require discipline and laser-like focus.

Business Advisor and Mentor Dana Smithers explains in this quick interview how you can use psychology to position your mindset for success.

The vast majority of entrepreneurs fail to succeed in business because of their inability to engineer a solution-oriented mindset. They get boggled down in day-to-day conflict and pay the price when the perceived drama starts to drive them insane.

The end result: a miserable, overly sensitive brain that inevitably impedes progress.

If this sounds familiar, you’re in luck, because you’re about to rid yourself of this bad habit once and for all.

How can the Law of Attraction deliver the goods?

When it comes to business, the Law of Attraction is as simple a concept as it gets:

You attract success by removing your ego from the equation and by focusing your positive energy on whatever goal you set for yourself.

Oftentimes, this means you might have to ditch those clients who consistently try to nickel and dime you, for example.

For this to work, you have to make a commitment, right now, to refuse to be a slave to your biochemistry. Let it be a new fact of life.

You can master this in a short afternoon if you accept that some things will never be under your control. The one thing you can retain control of is your own attitude towards challenge and conflict.

So go forth and conquer – it’s time to cement your status as an entrepreneur who gets things done.

If you have any questions about using psychology to improve your business practices, feel free to leave a message in the comment section below and I’d be happy to answer. Also, if you’re looking to boost your digital marketing to the next level, sign up for my free newsletter.

Until next time,

Why Having FOCUS Is Key To Manifesting What You Want

Why Having FOCUS Is Key To Manifesting What You Want

The Law of Attraction is all about vibrations and its job description is to ‘match vibrations’ and those are either positive or negative.

When you focus on what you want by putting out a positive vibe, the Law of Attraction is happy to bring you what you need to do, know or have.

If you find yourself grumbling about this and that in your life, how much you have to do and how you know you’ll never get it all done – well, the Law of Attraction just gives you more of that madness too!

Multitasking Is Not The Way To Start Your Day

Most entrepreneurs find themselves having to play a lot of different roles in their business and wear many different hats. It’s like you are a juggler with business tasks and personal tasks trying to keep them all going at the same time.

If you happen to be a mom-preneur or dad-preneur then you have the added responsibility of taking care of children too!

You might be someone who starts your day with an impressive ‘To Do List’ or, you might just ‘wing’ it and see how the day unfolds. Either way you most likely find yourself multitasking and not really accomplishing all that you wanted to.

The best way to start your day from a Law of Attraction perspective is to:

  1. Set your intention – ask yourself how you want to see your day unfolding – put the focus only on business goals (your personal goals can be handled in a different way on a different day)
  2. Create 3 business goals that you want to accomplish or get started on – prioritize what needs to get done by the urgency of the task (usually time sensitive)
  3. Remove each achieved goal and continue to create another list with just 3 goals – make them manageable, realistic goals that you know you will feel better once they are accomplished
  4. Celebrate your success – doesn’t matter how you celebrate just do it and if you can put in some movement with your celebration (happy dances are good) to anchor this great feeling in your body, all the better
  5. Do ‘segment intentions’ – if you find yourself pulled away from something you had prioritized because something just came to you that is time sensitive then, set another intention

Focus On What You Want and Not On What You Do Not Want

You may have never thought of this but everything you decide you ‘want’ you arrived at that decision by noticing what you ‘do not want’. In Law of Attraction lingo we call this getting to CLARITY from CONTRAST.

When you go into a new restaurant you finally decide what you do want by looking at everything you don’t want. You use this technique throughout your personal and professional lives whether you are aware of it or not.

If you are working on several different projects, think about narrowing those down and focus on  only 1 or 2 and until you have achieved what you wanted to achieve.

When you are unfocused and have too many goals or projects on the go then you are being ‘wishy washy’ and the Law of Attraction doesn’t know what you really want so it too, will dilute what you manifest.

Take 1 project and create a list of everything you ‘Don’t Want aka Contrast’ and then create another list of everything you ‘Do Want aka Clarity’.

Delete everything you don’t want and focus only on the new list which gives you the clarity of what you do want!

Why Paying it Forward Reaps Many Rewards on Social Media

Why Paying it Forward Reaps Many Rewards on Social Media

6 Ways You Can Pay it Forward on Social Media

How would you like to be the reason someone smiles today?

Doesn’t it feel wonderful and causes you to smile when you’re acknowledged for an accomplishment? When someone is truly kind to you without any intention of reciprocation?

I recently discovered just how wonderful that feeling is.

When eVision Media won an Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence award at the end of November, my Facebook feed was inundated with hundreds of likes, congratulations and well wishes. It truly was overwhelming to be the receiver of such incredible heart-felt wishes!

Being on the receiving end of such attention was not only flattering but also had me deeply touched that so many people thought kindly of my team and I.

Being on the receiving end of kindness is deeply touching. Pay it Forward.Click To Tweet

So much so that it had me ponder my own actions, or inactions as the case may be, on social media.

How many times did I scroll past someone sharing their good news… too busy to pause long enough to congratulate them?

How many times did I simply hit the “like” button and move on after someone posted a huge victory of their own?

Too many times.

So many that I made a decision to change that and this article urges you to think about your own actions on Social Media too.

Now I make a conscious effort to pause long enough in my busy day to spread a simple message of kindness on my social media channels. Whether it’s a quick “Congratulations!” or a response to a question I can help with, I know my acts of kindness are paying it forward for all the kind acts I’ve received over the years.

Will you join me?

Here’s 6 Ways You Can Pay it Forward on Social Media

  1. When you see someone sharing good news, don’t just hit the “Like” button, go that extra mile and leave a comment about how happy you are for them. It’s ok that you don’t know this person personally, it’s social media where your online connection is all that’s needed to pay a little kindness forward.

This simple gesture can make a big difference in the other person’s life. You have no idea what they are going through and your message of kindness could make their day.
  2. When someone retweets or shares your content to their followers, send them a message of thanks.

Your acknowledgement will go a long way in their eyes, and they will remember how kind you were to them and will encourage them to continue their acts of sharing kindness.
  3. Retweet and share great content of others and be sure to give them credit for posting such great stuff.

This kind of acknowledgement could be all that’s needed to give them the confidence they need to keep creating good stuff.
  4. Participate in contests that you really wish to be a part of. A lot of thought and planning goes into setting up a contest so show your appreciation for the opportunity to win something and submit your entry.

Imagine if you were holding a contest and how much excitement you would feel when you see so many people participating. Share that gift of excitement to others.
  5. Tell someone you appreciate them. It doesn’t have to have any strings attached… simply let them know how much you admire them and appreciate being connected with them on Social Media and why.

Wouldn’t it be great to receive such an unprovoked message? You can make someone else feel great too – how cool is that!
  6. When you see someone is struggling or has asked a question you can answer, help.

Sharing your expertise with others is a wonderful way to pay it forward and help someone else out at the same time.

By making a conscious effort in performing these acts of kindness on social media, you will not only help make the world a better place (after all, doesn’t the world need more kindness in it?) but you will also see a positive shift both personally and professionally in your own life.

Paying kindness forward on social media creates positive shifts personally & professionallyClick To Tweet

There are plenty of other ways you can pay it forward and share kindness with others on social media. Help me grow this list by posting in the comments section below your own ideas. And don’t forget to implement them!

The Entrepreneurial Bright and Shiny Object Syndrome Exposed

The Entrepreneurial Bright and Shiny Object Syndrome Exposed

What You Need to Know Before You Sign Up for Yet Another Program

There’s an insidious travesty happening in the entrepreneurial world and I’ve stayed silent about it long enough.

It’s time to expose what’s really happening to unsuspecting entrepreneurs and business owners when it comes to seeking the perfect answer to their business needs.

You probably already know it as chasing after the bright and shiny object syndrome.

It happens when the perceived need to learn more, be more and do more outweighs the need to actually get clients and run a business.

Are you a victim of the Bright and Shiny Object Syndrome?Click To Tweet

Why The Bright & Shiny Object Syndrome Happens

New entrepreneurs, especially women, often horde a deep-seeded secret that weighs them down and prevents them from growing their business to the heights they are perfectly capable of, but often don’t realize it.

That secret is the debilitating knowing they will be exposed as a fraud.

I know this because I too had this fear years ago.

It kept me playing small.

It stopped me from stepping outside of my comfort zone.

It dictated all of my business decisions from how much to charge to how I should be positioned in my industry to whom my ideal clients were.

The thought of being exposed as a fraud far outweighed any voice of reason that declared otherwise. It was a powerful force that controlled my every move.

But I had no idea this was going on. I wasn’t consciously aware of how much my actions were based upon that one fact: Feeling like I was a fraud.

But was I really a fraud? Hardly.

Feeling like a fraud in business is more common than you think, but rarely accurateClick To Tweet

My educational background and previous business skills and experience put me far above the level of many of my competitors in the web development and digital marketing space. But I still found a way to discount all of that.

It wasn’t enough.

I needed to learn more.

Clearly they know far more than I do – just look at how “successful” they are.

They know the “secret”.

So what did I do about it? I signed up for every program I could in order to find out what that secret was.

I embarked to find that perfect formula to follow. That magic system that would take me from point A to point B easily and effortlessly.

That thing that would make me successful.

Once I completed these programs, THEN I’d skyrocket my success!

Not.

And it’s probably not going to work for you either.

Yes, you’ll get some new insights out of the training. You’ll learn a few things along the way. But it won’t be enough.

And that’s because it’s not really what you need. Not by a long shot.

More than likely all those programs will just result in you feeling more overwhelmed and confused than ever before. How on earth are you going to find the time to implement all this, let alone understand how to do it all?

Signing up for every program, webinar & training available will result in confusion & overwhelmClick To Tweet

There’s only so much time in the day and wouldn’t you prefer to be working on what you’re passionate about instead? The reason why you went into business to begin with?

Here’s the deal

I can’t tell you how many struggling entrepreneurs I have worked with over the years. They aren’t able to reach successful heights in their business and the first (and often only) thing they will blame is themselves.

Their inner voice is screaming at them:

  • You don’t know enough.
  • You need to learn more.
  • You are clearly in way over your head – what were you thinking anyway?
  • You’re better off just quitting before you are exposed as the fraud you really are.

This may sound very familiar to you too.

So what does an aspiring entrepreneur do when they have thoughts like these? They sign up for every course, program, system, webinar, teleseminar, telesummit imaginable.

They become addicted to learning.

In their quest to no longer feel like a fraud, they embark on a mission to learn every single aspect about running a business they can. They feel they MUST learn how to:

  • Figure out who their ideal client is (even though they’re not sure what to do with that info once they have it)
  • Build a website themselves (even though technology has never been a friend of theirs)
  • Design their own logo and marketing materials (even though they have never had any formal training in graphic design)
  • Set up a sales funnel (even though they’re not really sure what that is)
  • Write the sales copy on their website and landing pages (Even though writing does not come easy for them)
  • Do Search Engine Optimization (SEO) on their website (even though they aren’t sure what that means)
  • Conduct webinars and teleseminars in order to launch their new program (even though they don’t have a program to launch yet)
  • Get on stage and be a speaker… write a book… participate in JV partnerships… hold workshops…. The list goes on and on!

What results from all of this? Entrepreneurs are spending SO much time and money on learning all of these skillsets that aren’t a part of their core competency, they aren’t left with any time or energy to focus on their own business!

And here’s the insidious part of it all:

The people who are selling you these programs and systems know full well you are prime for the picking. They are capitalizing on your fears and are making loads of money doing so.  They are counting on you feeling you MUST know all of this stuff before you can be successful at your business.

They also know that once they have your attention, you are prime to be “upsold” on higher-end programs or at least make affiliate commissions by referring other products/systems/platforms you MUST have.

Their business survival depends on it.

“BUT SUSAN!” I can hear you saying out loud… “in order for me to be successful, I have to have all of these things in place, and I can’t afford to hire anyone to do it all for me!”

Yes. But.

There’s a couple of falsehoods in that statement:

  • You do NOT need a website or marketing materials (yes, that’s coming from a web developer and online marketer!). Not right away at least. I sure didn’t have those things in place when I first started.
  • You do NOT need complex marketing funnels and fancy lead generating downloads
  • You Do NOT need a huge list or any list at all for that matter
  • You do NOT need to have every duck lined up in a neat row before you can start talking to clients and generating business.

Eventually, sure, you can work towards incorporating all of that into your business and marketing model. But not until you can afford to have it done properly. Wasting your time and money on learning how to do it all yourself is simply that – a waste of time and money.

And that’s because you will never learn as much as what the pros know in those key areas to get the same kinds of results by doing it yourself. You simply can’t know it all.

Plus that deep-seeded fear is also going to do whatever it takes to stop you in your tracks.

What You Really Need: Believe in Yourself

All you need to start and run a successful business is to trust yourself, your knowledge, your expertise and your ambitious drive to do what it takes to make it work. And most of all, you need the confidence in yourself that you are absolutely, unequivocally more than capable of bringing your business vision to fruition.

Your passion, energy, drive and vision is the fuel that moves you forward and creates the opportunities you need to make your business successful. Not all of those programs you’ve signed up for.

The more you believe in yourself, the more opportunities will materialize that will get you one step closer to achieving your goals.

Will you be rich in 30 days like many sales pages promise? Unlikely. But if you are wanting to build a sustainable business, you probably don’t want that kind of huge growth anyway.

Stop believing all of the hyped-up promises we are bombarded by everywhere we turn and instead, start believing you already know what you need to move forward.

Stop believing your are a fraud and start trusting you are more than capable of successClick To Tweet

And of what you don’t know, the right help at the right time will show up for you.

Now go. Trust yourself. Build a sustainable business with confidence and kick that false nagging voice that tells you you’re a fraud out the window. Stop giving away your power to those that are hungry for your money and make the right choices for you based on confidence, not fear.

You have a vision you need to fulfil and have no time for those kinds of mental blocks slowing you down!

To your success,

How to React Positively to a Negative Client Using Law of Attraction

How to React Positively to a Negative Client Using Law of Attraction

At some point in time every entrepreneur receives a negative comment from a client or customer.

While it’s unavoidable in business the outcome of what started out as something negative can be turned around to something that is positive. In fact it’s possible that the client who was complaining about something could turn into one of your best referral clients!

It all depends on how you decide to communicate back to that client.

Let’s look at a few different scenarios where you received a negative comment that fired you up so much that your first reaction was anger and maybe your thought process was along the lines of ‘Grrrr I provided an exceptional service to them they just didn’t do their part!’

And let’s be real here – it might be the client that you knew was going to be high maintenance and never satisfied but you took them on as a client anyway because a) you needed the money or b) you didn’t think it would be so bad.

And from a Law of Attraction perspective your ‘gut’ feeling was right and now you know that next time you’ll pay attention to what you ‘feel’!

But in the meantime you have to deal with a negative complaint. And because we all live in a very ‘high-tech low-touch’ world you may have received that complaint via an email or from a variety of social media sites where you either post or comment.

Woman-getting-rejection-on-phoneHowever you received it most likely you will have a negative reaction and want to react back right away with something equally as negative.

And if this happens to be posted in a public place you know that typing those words, with those negative vibes attached that this can hurt your business reputation in so many ways. And you will attract more of the same!

Another scenario may be that you received a phone call from a client or customer with a complaint and all you wanted to do was slam the phone down but of course, professional entrepreneur that you are, you won’t do this.

So here is where knowing how to use the Law of Attraction deliberately can save the day for you.

You can easily turn what could be a bad-reaction-disaster into a positive-high-vibe-response where both you and your client or customer are happy with the outcome of the communication.

  • Observe your feelings and ‘do nothing at first or ‘say nothing’ if it is a phone call
  • Briefly’ let your emotions out – have a hissy fit, go down a rabbit hole or take a time-out; do whatever you need to do to release those emotions
  • Take 3 deep breaths – in and out
  • Give some thought to the situation (not the emotions) and decide if the complaint is valid or not
  • Think about your response by setting your intention – think about what you want the outcome to be with the ‘best case scenario’ top of mind

Then and only then…

  • If possible phone your client or customer and listen to what they have to say. Many times what you think is the problem is not really the problem and we all know that high-tech communication can easily be misunderstood.
  • Express gratitude for the client or customer for bringing this to your attention (you are taking the high-vibe road here)
  • Ask the client or customer if there is anything else you can help them with and when heartfelt they will know that you were sincere in wanting to listen and respond to their complaint.

And then wait for them to refer new clients to you because of your positive high-vibe professional customer service!

11 Signs It’s Time to Fire a Client

11 Signs It’s Time to Fire a Client

We have all had them. Especially when working in the service industry.  There are some clients that you can’t charge enough to make it worth the stress, headaches, and frustration they create.

I had heard someone say once, “sometimes the cost of a dollar is too high”. Indeed. When you recognize that a client is more trouble than they are worth, it’s time to let them go.

When a client is more trouble than they are worth, it's time to let them go.Click To Tweet

But how do you know when enough is enough?

Firing a client - we have to drop youAs a business owner, it goes against all instincts to turn away business and making money, but what happens at an energetic level is not something to ignore.

When things go sour, often our entrepreneurial instincts kick into high gear and we work harder at making the client happy, focus more on them to help turn things around, and then lose sleep over it anyway.

All of that expended energy results in complete frustration that nothing seems to work and you have lost other business because you couldn’t focus on other clients as much as they needed or have time to get new business with your ideal client.

Energetically, when you focus on a negative situation, it keeps your business stuck in that negativity causing your business to have no opportunity for expansion.

When Should You Let a Client Go?

Has your once dream client turned into your worst nightmare? At first some clients might seem like “the bomb” but after working together on a closer basis you may notice some signs to make you think again about keeping them as a client.

Here’s 11 possible client types you might be encountering that should make you question if they are worth holding onto in your business:

  1. The Non-Pleasers. There are some super picky clients where no matter how hard you try to please them will never be happy.

Often it’s because they don’t know what they want; sometimes they keep changing their mind; or maybe they have a colleague or assistant giving them ill-fitted advice.

But for whatever the reason, you end up putting forth a lot of extra effort to make them happy.  And often at no charge, adversely affecting your bottom line.
  2. The Blamers. When you offer a service, you can’t guarantee the success of the client.  No matter what you’ve been asked to do, the role of the client is paramount to a successful outcome.

You can’t work miracles if they are not following your instructions, thwarting your efforts with them second-guessing you (and themselves) or not doing their part to make the project successful.

These people tend to jump from one resource to another, thinking their failures are always someone else’s fault instead of looking at what they are doing (or not doing) to create these situations.

You’re in a no-win situation with this type of client.
  3. The Slow-Payers. Everyone’s favourite client is the one who pays an invoice immediately upon receipt.  But when a client is continually late in paying their invoices or worst yet, gets behind in payments, it’s hard to give them your best service.

It’s much more satisfying to spend time working with clients who pay promptly. Keeping them on as a client is enabling their bad behaviours and telling them it’s OK not to pay you on time.
  4. The Cost-Complainers. You know the kind, when they constantly complain about how much this is costing them, asking for discounts and feeling they deserve price breaks.

‘Frugal Fred’s are a pain in the butt to work for.  They keep trying to get you to do everything for nothing. More keeps getting added to your plate with the assumption it should all be included in the original cost.

Sometimes they try to make you feel guilty by sharing their ‘temporary’ financial problems with you and promise they’ll pay you once they get the big  break that’s ‘just around the corner’. Don’t fall for their story.

Greatness doesn’t go on sale. When a client doesn’t value the quality of service you provide, then you’re not being valued. Period.

Your ideal client will gladly pay what you are worth without complaint.
  5. The Panicked-Insisters. These types of clients want everything done quickly and at the last minute, causing you to set aside other, just as important work, so they can be made happy.

Their lack of planning does not make an emergency on your part. If they insist on giving you projects with no notice, charge a hefty rush fee.  If these quick turnaround demands continue, you may consider dropping them as a client.

Ideal clients will respect the time needed and allow a deadline that let’s you do your best work for them.
  6. The Non-Listeners. Nothing makes me more frustrated than when someone hires an expert, asks for what you think, pauses, and then says “I think we should do it this way instead.”

Or they will get your opinion and then go ask their friends, assistants and others in related industries to see if your suggestion is what they should do or not.

Everyone has an opinion and many times the other people asked are not at all qualified to provide expert advice. This second-guessing only wastes time and effort and is a sure-sign of the clients’ self-uncertainty on being able to make clear decisions.

And of course, when you do what they ask and they don’t get results, they blame you (see #2 client type above.)

If they want to hire an expert, they should be “coachable” and ready to implement your advice and strategies with confidence in your abilities. If that confidence is not there, they need to find someone else they can be confident with.
  7. The Abusers. I had a client years ago who literally threatened me when his email wasn’t working the way he thought it should. His misunderstanding of how email works resulted in him blaming me for his frustrations, treating me with disrespect and bullying me terribly. I was truly afraid.

Some clients are downright abusive.  They talk down to you and push you around. When a client starts to be a bully, prepare to divorce them right away! No one deserves that kind of treatment.
  8. The Stress-Causers. A prime indicator of this type of client is when you see they are calling on the phone and your heart sinks, anxiety kicks in and you don’t want to answer.

We had a client once who was a husband/wife team.  The husband was so personable, warm and pleasant.  But when they wife called, she was demanding, abrupt, and even intimidating.  It made it very difficult to answer the phone, knowing I was about to have a difficult conversation with her.

Working with clients that cause you undue stress and anxiety while trying your best to make them happy are simply not worth the effort. Spend that energy on finding your ideal client instead.
  9. The Personality-Clashers. Sometimes personalities don’t mesh. It happens.  Respect yourself enough not to put up with clients that aren’t a JOY to serve.
  10. The Energy-Vampires. Some clients are literally energy black holes. They are demanding and need all your time. They suck up all your joy and energy and you are literally exhausted after working with them.

What’s worse is they are taking up space for a perfect client you could be working with. Don’t settle for clients that drain you.  Choose clients that energize you.
  11. The Unreasonable-Demanders. When clients want you to be an expert in something you’re not and demand you do the work anyway is setting you up  for failure.

If you succumb to them, you’ll wind up in a world of trouble spending hours trying to do something, making mistakes, and not getting the desired results.

Just say ‘no’ to jobs that aren’t in your area of expertise. Instead, refer them to someone else who is much better equipped for that particular request.

After many years in the business, we’ve had all kinds of crazy situations that clearly taught me what we don’t want in a client.

The best advice I can give is to be very clear about who your ideal client is and how you want to be treated.  Remind clients of boundaries as needed and be firm with maintaining them.  Life is too short to just work for the dollar.

As business owners we have a right to work with clients who bring us extreme joy and satisfaction.  That way we can do our best work.

How to Set Your Law of Attraction Set Point

How to Set Your Law of Attraction Set Point!

Do you remind yourself about the law of attraction when you attract good things in your life?

And when ‘bad’ things come your way are you convinced that had to do with someone else and not you?

If you think this way you are not alone.

Many entrepreneurs love to celebrate all the awesome abundance that comes into their life whether it’s money, fabulous clients, better relationships, travel, great career, sunny skies, etc. they might even say things like “I am an attraction magnet!” and be speaking law of attraction talk.

But often when something negative comes into their life they are confused why they attracted it and probably don’t give another thought to the role the law of attraction is playing in their life.

Did you know that you actually have a ‘Set Point’ for the Law of Attraction?

What I mean by this is that in your mind-body connection you have a control system. Your thoughts emit certain feelings and it’s from those feelings that you manifest.

Law of Attraction Set PointYou can set your Law of Attraction control valve Set Point to ‘ON’ by being aware of every thought you are thinking or saying. Law of Attraction just responds to it by matching the vibration whether it’s positive or negative.

So naturally if your control valve is turned ‘OFF’ you are not doing any ‘deliberate’ attracting.

You also might be someone who flips back and forth with your Law of Attraction control valve so you haven’t really established the ‘norm’ set point for yourself.

With a little more attention to using the Law of Attraction deliberately and mindfully you can change this. You can be a deliberate attractor 100% of the time!

Positive thinking plays a role in the Law of Attraction but a positive thought on its own won’t manifest what you want unless you believe it to be true. When you believe it to be true you will also feel positive – ‘feelings’ being more important than words here. And you will have set your SET POINT to ON!

Here’s a short definition for the Law of Attraction:

I attract to my life whatever I give my attention, energy
or focus to whether positive or negative.

The Law of Attraction is operating 24/7 365 days a year just like other universal laws.

To see how well you are manifesting more of what you want and less of what you don’t want, look for ‘evidence’ in your life. Where you are aware of you using the Law of Attraction deliberately? Continue to look at the results you are getting in your life.

5 Ways to Set Your Law of Attraction Set Point:

  1. Think about what you want to manifest in your day before you get out of bed. This is similar to setting your intention or running the movie.
  2. Throughout your day notice what you are attracting. If you find you dislike what you are attracting then deliberately focus on something positive that makes you feel good.
  3. When you are thinking negative thoughts i.e. you’ve got the 3 ring monkey circus going on – then remember to RESET your VIBE. Ask yourself “So what do I want?”
  4. Observe the ‘Evidence’ that you are deliberately using the Law of Attraction. What are the results in your business? Do you love your clients?
  5. Be ‘Accountable’ for what you are attracting in your life. If you are fed up with how your business is going or your ideal clients just aren’t ‘ideal’ then you need to change that. You change that by resetting your Set Point to be more positive and focus on what you want.

So I invite you to think about your ‘Law of Attraction Set Point’. Where is yours? Do you turn the control valve off sometimes and don’t even realize you’ve done that?

When you realize that things just keep happening to you and you don’t like them then reset your Set Point control valve to where you want it to be!

Why ‘Acting As If’ Is Not Working For Your Business Abundance

Superhero Kids

We often hear that if you ‘Act As If’ you have something already you will attract it to you. Every wonder why this works for some people to achieve business abundance and not others?

What does ‘Act As If’ mean?  It means that if you want something, you must act as if you already have it in order to get it.

For example if you want to have an abundant business you must act as if you already have that. If you want to have ideal clients you must act as if you already have them.

Act as if you already have what you want!It might not be working for you for a few reasons:

  1. If you are someone who thinks about what you want but haven’t taken the time to get really clear on what it is you want.

The Law of Attraction cannot give you what you want if you don’t know what it is you want.

  2. If you flip-flop back and forth about believing what you want is possible, the amount of doubt you have will directly effects how much you manifest what you want.

This self-doubt is filled with negative emotions and vibrations.

You need to have a strong clear desire for what you really want AND you need to
remove as much doubt as possible to manifest what you want!

For some people they may feel like a ‘fraud’ trying to be someone they are not. If you feel that way then you need to have a mindset shift because that attitude will never having you ‘act as if’ you had what you wanted.

You can tell yourself that you are ‘in the process of creating the perfect business for yourself with ideal clients’.

You have to feel good about what you are saying or doing to achieve what you want. Without feeling good about yourself you will never manifest something better for yourself.

Here are a few tips to help you get some clarity and remove some of the doubt that you can ‘Act As If’ and manifest your desires:

  • Check out other business entrepreneurs who already have what you want. How do they act? What do they look like? How do they dress? Who do they hang out with?  Start modeling them in a way that feels good to you.

  • Create a ‘Clarity through Contrast‘ worksheet where you make a list of what you don’t want and then a list of what your business will look like AFTER you have what you want.

  • If you like to see a visual, then do a ‘Vision Board‘ with the focus on how you will feel when you have what you want.

  • Write out your story about what will happen when you manifest your desire. Start each sentence with ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice If…‘ and then write like crazy for at least 60 seconds… you can come back to this at any time.

  • Take some ‘meditation – manifesting time‘ every day so that you start to feel what is possible.

  • Always put what you want out there and let the Law of Attraction bring it to you and remember to be OPEN and say that this would be good OR MORE!

  • If affirmations work for you – great keep using them – but if not, try saying this “I am in the process of attracting my ideal _____” (you fill in the blank).

Start paying attention to the evidence of manifesting coming your way once you start to ‘Act As If’. Go BEYOND what your goal is!

Think even BIGGER THOUGHTS once you see the evidence and remember always to express gratitude for what you are attracting.

How to Know If You Are In The Right Business – Law of Attraction Check In

How to Know If You Are In The Right Business – Law of Attraction Check In

You might be someone who absolutely knows that you are in the right business.

For you, the result you manifest is that your business is flowing and you have happy customers/clients who keep coming back for more and most importantly you love what you are doing.

If this is the case for you I congratulate you because your high-positive-vibrations permeate your world and the entire universe. So, thank you!

This is a universal principle of the Law of Attraction:

Energy goes where attention flows…

So it makes sense that if you are putting your energy into doing something that you love and it’s a business that is needed then you are probably feeling fabulous about your success.

Now if this isn’t the case for you and something feels out of alignment for you it may be because you have not yet recognized that it takes more than just being competent or even excellent at what you do – you must be passionate about it. When you are feeling passionate your ‘why’ you got into business in the first place is being satisfied in a big way.

You know you are in the right business for you when you are passionate about what you are doing!

For many solopreneurs their business can survive for a time on their ability to be excellent at what they do having mastered the skills required to create and run a successful business.

you

Here are a few clues to know that you are in the right business:

  • your energy is high
  • you can’t wait to get started in the morning
  • you are eager to find solutions to your clients/customers problems
  • you feel on purpose and find meaning in the work you do
  • you think way more positive thoughts in a day than you do negative

Over the years of coaching women in business I’ve come to recognize that most people over the course of their life have found themselves in one of these 4 areas in their work:

EXCELLENT

You have mastered what you do and use your skills and talents to be productive.

PASSION*

This is where you THRIVE! This is your WHY where you FEEL ON PURPOSE!

COMPETENT

You can do the work but it does not bring you much joy.

INCOMPETENT

You really don’t have the skills to learn how to do something and need to let someone with the skills do this work!

Solopreneurs wear many different hats and they may not be even competent in the skills they need to create, start, run and profit in their business. Yet you are 100% responsible for the success or failure of your business.

I know that for me when I first started out I did do everything myself – marketing, sales, operations, administration, bookkeeping and then providing my services to my clients/customers.

And I also knew that I was incompetent in bookkeeping, competent in some of the administration involved with the my work, excellent at the services I offered and totally passionate about my ‘why’.

So where do you see yourself fitting into these 4 areas? Is it time to delegate and let someone else shine who is not only excellent but also passionate about their purpose?

How to Attract More Abundance In Your Business – Law of Attraction Style!

Attract More Abundance In Your Business

Every entrepreneur wants to have ‘ABUNDANCE’ in their business. In fact most entrepreneurs would say they would like to have a whole lot more abundance than what they have right now.

You might be surprised to learn that when you are using the principles and tools from the ‘Law of Attraction’ we think of abundance as a feeling and not a thing!

That piece of information may just be the missing piece that allows you to attract more abundance in your business.

feelingabundance

Let’s take a look at ‘how’ this actually works.

The Law of Attraction is a very powerful and hidden universal law of energy that operates 24/7 365 days of the year. It is your energy that attracts things, people, situations and circumstances to you.

And when you attract things, people, situations and circumstances to you – you always want to observe how you feel about what you are attracting. Do you feel in lack, or do you have feelings of abundance where you are grateful for what you already have in your life?

Your energy gives off a mood or a feeling or as we call it in the Law of Attraction a ‘vibration’. That vibration is either positive vibe or negative vibe. When you look around at your business ask yourself how you feel about what you have going on.

You might be someone who when they think about ‘abundance’ you immediately think that ‘abundance = money’ this is actually not entirely true. Money can give you a feeling of abundance but ….

The best way to attract more money is actually by removing money from the equation!

You can get all caught up in thinking that they only way you will ever feel abundant is by having more money and while we all love more money. Try focusing on what makes you feel abundant.

You just might have to re-frame some of your negative thoughts from a feeling of lack:

  • My clients keep cancelling at the last minute and that ticks me off
  • Everybody else is making money except me
  • Seems like all I do is work, work, work
  • I just don’t have enough time to get everything done and I feel overwhelmed.

To a more positive reframe like this to feel more abundance

  • Isn’t it great that I have clients contacting me – feels great to know my services are needed
  • I am in the process of building great relationships with my clients
  • I love it when my clients ask me out for a coffee – it feels great when I take breaks
  • Super excited that I completed that last project and I’ve prioritized what I need to do next – feeling good!

The job description of the Law of Attraction is this:

Match Vibrations

So this is where the attraction starts – by you paying attention to ’what makes you feel abundant’. Put these memories of those abundant feelings into your conscious mind.

Start looking for people, situations, things, circumstances that make you feel abundant and you will start attracting more of the same!

Express Gratitude Always

What have you attracted today that makes you feel abundant? What did you attract yesterday? What did you attract while you were reading this article? Did someone contact you to take you out for a coffee? Did you thank them?

Did you just get something on sale that you’ve been putting off buying in your business? Did you get excited and tell your friends about the great deal? Were you out networking and you won a bottle of wine? How did you feel when you won it?

Look at everything you have in your life right now and start thanking the Law of Attraction for all that you have already attracted. And since abundance is a feeling think of what makes you feel good, start expressing gratitude for that.

Look for the evidence that is already surrounding you and become a ‘proof seeker’.

When I have asked my coaching clients where they ‘feel abundant’ they came up with this list:

  • When I go for a walk in the woods I feel connected to Source and I feel good
  • If someone offers to buy me a coffee, lunch or dinner I’m totally grateful
  • When I see something I like I take a picture of it and think about how it will feel when I have it
  • The times my family gets together and we have a really great time
  • When I get a Notification of Payment from Pay Pal
  • Imagining myself taking time off for a vacation with my family
  • When my husband makes me a delicious dinner and pours me a glass of my favorite wine
  • When I can buy anything I want without thinking about the cost

It doesn’t matter what makes you feel abundant. If it’s helpful then you might want to keep a journal and write down what you are grateful for daily, for some people taking a picture of something you love or would love to have on your iPhone and looking at it whenever you need a smile.

Find your way of attracting more abundance and do it deliberately and you will attract more!

This is my mantra. If you like it use it, if not, create one of your own that has a high vibration for you:

I am open to receiving Infinite Abundance from Source however it may come to me.

Thank You Thank You Thank You
