3 Hidden Transformation Opportunities When Under Pressure

3 Hidden Transformation Opportunities When Under Pressure

In entrepreneurial life we are under constant pressure. Some imposed by our clients and some by our own expectations.

Cash flow needs to stack up and customers need to be satisfied.

The more pressure we are subjected to the further we can move from feeling good to being under pressure. The stress that begins to accumulate can also stifle the joy that we would otherwise feel.

These are a few of the negative outcomes of pressure. But the good news is, there’s hidden silver linings in such moments that are often under debated.

There are three main ones detailed in this article. Each of these points shed light on an opportunity for transformation when facing pressure.

  1. Overwhelm Teaches Self-Awareness

When we are in overwhelm there is a part of our emotional system that begins to flare up. It will show its presence in a variety of ways.

It could be a silent moment of swallowing back a tear.  It could be an abrupt word with a colleague that alerts us that our internal emotional state has lost its center.

When we lash out it merely indicates we are not happy internally and we have inadvertently slipped into judgment of those around us.

When we fail to find time to connect diplomatically, we are momentarily forgetting what it means to be a compassionate human being.

But worst of all these outside indicators are pointing to internal sabotage.

We are judging others because we are in fact still judging ourselves! The internal judge is always stronger towards self than others.

We are lashing out because we are failing to connect with our deepest joy-filled, calm space inside. IF we were grounded in this way, the abruptness would not have arisen.

Thus we are not being compassionate toward ourselves because had we been, we would have chosen a joy-filled inner state! This is a sad truth….

  2. Understanding Leads to Self-Compassion

Once we are aware that living with pressure is failing to be compassionate to ourselves, a moment to reflect can change everything.

The reflection could evaluate how our biggest recent success arose? Did it happen under pressure or was it a byproduct of when we were the most calm?

I know for sure, the more I stay calm and enjoy myself the easier it becomes to manifest what I want. In fact our earliest successes often came with ease, unexpectedly, whilst we were simply being ourselves and enjoying ourselves!

They did not arise because of self imposed pressure, and we forget that when we live our entrepreneurial life!

If we see it as we are wasting energy when we pour it into worry, panic or imposing stress or feeling outside expectations, we might become more thoughtful about this wastage.

Instead all that energy could be redirected and used more resourcefully. By keeping the momentum on the task at hand we become more productive and HAPPIER too.

This is self-compassion… reuniting us to our original desire to be in this particular line of work.

  3. Breath and its Connection with Fear

If you watch yourself carefully, when you are under pressure, your breath does not go so deep into your belly. It sort of remains in the upper quadrant of your body and sometimes is held back and constricted.

Try to experiment right now. Imagine a stressful situation and watch what happens to your breath.

It naturally becomes shallower. Stress is always accompanied with fear. “Fear I won’t make my rent.”, “Fear I wont be able to satisfy the deadline.”… Fear to be rejected, criticized etc.

When we are calm, the nervous energy in our body is not felt.

Instead the fear that surfaces from not meeting expectations dissolves into its polar opposite- and fills your body with excitement and anticipation of success. It has a very light and expansive feel to it.

This is the sort of feeling you initially felt when you first launched into this career.

So in its simplest form, when under pressure remind yourself to breathe deep down into your feet. As soon as you do that you will start taking the energy away from fear and overwhelm, into grounded-ess.

Use the earth to support you. Push the breath deep down into the ground, through your feet, as if you are laying roots into the floor to support you.

This simple act of self-awareness can redirect you back into your current moment reality, away from the emotional volatility that comes with pressure.

Use these moments to reflect, become more aware and use your breath to become more self-compassionate!

6 Keys to Overcoming the Fear to be GREAT for a Fulfilled Business Life

6 Keys to Overcoming the Fear to be GREAT for a Fulfilled Business Life

Are you an entrepreneur or business owner and don’t feel fulfilled?

I find the key to success lies within the fear to be great, which prevents many from moving forward into that greatness and feel better fulfilled.

Here’s 6 keys that will help you overcome this deep-seeded fear and gain a business life that has you feeling truly enriched and fulfilled.

  1. Resolutions

2017 is here, the beginning of yet another New Year, and the season for new resolutions and intentions has unfolded. But how will these really affect the quality of your business life in 2017?

It does not matter if millions are setting new intentions, numbers alone, do not prove them to be necessarily effective.

Whatever the resolutions, each of us know deep down that we are still bringing the same internal version of ourselves into the New Year. Resolutions therefore simply give the mind the idea that it is on a refreshed trajectory, when in fact nothing has changed.

  2. The Voice Inside Your Head

If the voice inside your head is saying ” I am not enough”, no matter how much will power is deployed to push harder, and work harder, in the end nothing but exhaustion will be felt in such a scenario.

If the voice inside your head is saying, “I can’t speak up because I am afraid to be rejected” it will be impossible for the entrepreneur to step outside their current comfort zone and explore new ways of business.

We have to do much more than becoming aware that our voice is not necessarily self-preserving. We have to dig deep to tackle this anguish driving aspect of ourselves.

And the crazy thing is that most of the time, we are not even aware of the real self sabotaging conclusions that we carry because they are deeply hidden in our unconscious, and so they are not even surfacing at the level of the mind.

Despite this lack of awareness, they totally control the destiny of our business life. Take for example an unknown belief : “I cannot have my freedom”, no matter how hard such a person tries to expand their business life, this hidden belief will result in a business experience that will suppress, but never bring abundance and total freedom.

  3. False Reinvention

So, for many of us, if we don’t want business as usual, we might consider a little bit of reinventing to adapt our ways. Most of this reinvention will happen using the mind, through affirmations, positivity, gratitude journals and ideas that the law of attraction will assist us, if we concentrate on visualizations for a better future.

We are encouraged to conjure up feelings, as if it has already happened. We are encouraged to create vision boards that we can focus on, so that our attention will bring growth in the areas that we predefine.

In modern day times, we tell our critical voice to “shut up” and suggest “we are awesome” instead. This of course gives us the impression we are correcting this inner state, but the hilarious part is that no one asks the deeper question – “Which voice did we use to tell the negative voice to shut up?”

The answer is shocking. It is, in fact, the same voice!!!! It is like a dog chasing its own tail- nothing has changed, but somehow we have the new impression that things have improved for us. The negative voice is told to shut up by the positive voice. Then the negative one speaks even stronger, and so the positive one has to work even harder! Round and round we go…

We work extremely hard, to maybe get a few successes but there is a but!

  4. False Successes

Don’t get me wrong, when someone has gone through the laborious task to tell their inner voice to shut up, they may feel a burst of energy to act on something that they might not have tried earlier, and of course this is good news! Some fear has been overcome, and new doors could open.

Many of the role models we see around us, prove that this theory helped them to be the business success stories that they are today. Oprah Winfrey swears by her gratitude journal, and Louise Hay proclaims affirmations will do the trick.

BUT the fear that we are not enough, hasn’t gone away, it is still lurking, and it will have the last say, and come to sabotage at its earliest opportunity. Mathematics says it has to. The energy is still there. Energy can only change form, but it can never disappear.

If energy cannot disappear, of course internal anxiety will remain too.

This is why people stay on the search for more…….deep down they know that there is a lurking fear that they themselves carry, even though they might not want to share that with the public that revere them, they know they have not fooled themselves.

The sincere ones employ new tools such as meditation to go deeper. The insincere ones continue to live a lie.

  5. The Real “TOOLS” for Permanent Change

So the real task is not to tell the inner voice to shut up, but to transform the inner voice, so that it no longer says, “I am not enough”. And for that to happen, there has to be a real knowing that you are in fact, absolutely enough. This takes courage to embody and the fear to be brilliant has to be overcome to facilitate such a presence.

Through practices such as meditation and advanced tools that transform unconsciousness, new insights can be gained. A knowing reveals itself and with that the understanding comes that these encounters could never be experienced through the mind, because the mind was creating all the problems in the first place.

The knowing that ” I am awesome” comes from a place within where we recognize the purity of who we are….and that resides deep within, in our being. When we meet our true face, we have that knowing.

Then we recognize that our core personality has to be transformed to meet the purity of our being. When our core personality is no longer lashing out, no longer angry with others, no longer jealous, bitter, resentful, insincere, greedy, manipulative etc., it begins to match the quality of our inner being.

We need advanced ways to permanently eliminate the fears and the root causes of the above darker side qualities that surface in each of us. This is the only route available to truly discover that we are enough. There is no other short cut. We might decide that releasing a few trapped emotions is helping but nothing awakens our real nature unless consciousness is heightened. This is the real work.

  6. The Truth of “I Am Great” / “I Am Awesome”

If we cannot say that all our actions are loving and pure, why would we lie to ourselves and say, “We are awesome”!!!?

Through UNDERSTANDING why our inner voice is actually saying “I am not enough” and clearing up the root causes and mis-beliefs, we can finally hold our head up and say,

    “I know who I am,
I know where I come from,
I know what I am here to do,
I know I am enough unto myself and a light unto myself”

There is a step in claiming and recognizing the revelation of what you know. What you know could prove to be too much for those around you. It may blind too many people, and thus this is where the fear comes in.

To reveal your brilliance and embody your magnificence, in total confidence is so alien in our world at large, that it might feel better to hide the light and not shine it too brightly.

When we have overcome this fear, the largest of them all, we can finally say:

“I am here to be brilliant”, “I am here to live in total fulfillment” and “I am here to be awesome, showing others how to be too”.

The voice inside your head will now be in total silence.

This is awesome and this is where we get to have a business life in which we are truly enriched and fulfilled.

How To Lift Others As We Climb

9 Tips for Authentic, “Uplifting” Networking

How To Lift Others As We Climb 9 Tips for Authentic, 'Uplifting' Networking

I had an amazing lunch about six weeks ago, surrounded by dozens and dozens of mostly female entrepreneurs at a networking event.  Prior to joining this organization I had no idea that so many women have small businesses…

I am seeing many passionate women, all attempting to get their message uniquely understood and valued by their counterparts.

Women Seem to Love Being Entrepreneurs

Lifting each other up is one of the major themes during these meetings. This is a natural human tendency when consciousness/self-awareness leads our choices, and our heart genuinely drives our interactions with one another.

However when self-awareness and consciousness is lacking then, such a theme can force us to be fake.

We all know that a “rule” does not necessarily mean it is our truth.

Rules Don’t Necessarily Help Us to be Honest

Relationships by nature are not capable of flourishing based on pretense… but the pretense we experience within ourselves is the most difficult to bear!

After all, “who are we kidding ultimately”?

This is the relationship that most matters in our life and the one that helps us to navigate our way into feeling whole.

We can’t run away from the truth we feel inside… the truth that nags when we slow down, and we find ourselves in the confines of our own space.  Our fears, our jealousies, our comparisons, our judgments, and our insecurities never shy away.

They are absolutely natural.

We Can’t Hide from Ourselves!

The women who are heart-connected genuinely stand out and ooze a good feel factor, whilst others can leave an absence of presence even in their limited conversations.

As I watched everyone, I felt the pressure that some were under, the pressure to get a pitch shared accurately, the pressure to offer something free just to be noticed or to be able to make a connection for a future sale.

The fear and pressure around cash flow issues in some, the pressure of their hidden marketing agenda accompanied with the associated pretense on the surface, was obvious in some.

Landing a Perfect Pitch Can Be a Strain

In my heart I felt sad seeing the strain these people were under, and sad at seeing how entrepreneurial life is a tough road to navigate.

At times marketing edicts can become forms of manipulating customers into buying from us. We are at these events to serve, and to help to make a difference in someone else’s life. That has to stay our primary focus, but things can get ugly for us, if our business is not flowing, and our innocence is lost.

Let’s Not Make Marketing a Form of Manipulation.

I’ve had time to reflect on this, and wanted to share a few tips and insights about networking and lifting each other up in the process.

  1. Be Honest With Yourself!

This is a form of lifting, because it acts as a great start point. I recently noticed that entrepreneurial life felt like a hustle. This was such a healthy internal observation because it gave me a chance to step back and take stock.
  2. Be Your Own Best Friend and Be Kind to Yourself.

Even if you see flaws, know that you are only a work-in-progress and that with efforts made to know yourself, you can evolve out of your limiting beliefs.
  3. Recognize Your Own Gifts and Your “Why”!

Use that to stay anchored as your “first” lift of the networking event. This way, you are more likely to be grounded and confident, and your authenticity will always show.
  4. When You Speak, Just “Be” Your Natural Self

This serves you a lot more than a word perfect pitch. We are human after all!
  5. Look For The Strengths and Passion in Others

These traits help to build trust and inevitably help in relationship building.
  6. Feel the situation and follow your gut/intuition

Words that flow from your gut serve more than your marketing edict- however smart we try to be, we can always sense an uneasiness when we are being sold to, so avoid the practiced jargon.
  7. Lift Others ONLY if it Feels Genuine in Your Heart

Faking is worse than saying nothing.
  8. Watch Your Own Insecurities in Networking

Make a commitment to yourself to transform insecurities, so that you move onwards and upwards after each event.
  9. Have Fun!

I hope you enjoy your next networking event and find life-long friends in the process.

If you want to know how to eliminate any of the internal insecurities that might surface for you, feel free to reach out.

I am more than happy to assist you using the amazing new modality called the Dalian Method. Revered by many clients as a firecracker, proving to be a life-changer, this technique can be self-practiced, speeding our ability to claim our self worth and power.

Five Keys To Thriving In Your Business

Five Keys To Thriving In Your Business

What you need to know to overcome obstacles that are getting in the way of true business success

Self doubt and operating under false beliefs can be a killer of a great business. Here are 5 keys you need to know about and overcome in order to thrive in your business.

  1. Am I Good Enough?

Human nature drives us to compare our qualities to those around us, without even knowing why.

At home, at school, in business we get accustomed to compete to thrive and succeed. We are not educated to see that each of us has unique talents, and that like an orchestra we all fit together.

Individually we are not designed to be similar, and thus should not be comparing ourselves, whether that is our physical body-shape, our intellect, our social skills, or our personalities, even our likes and dislikes. Instead we could recognize that each person brings a gift that we could benefit from, particularly if we work together.

As children, when our parents tried to “correct” what they saw as our weaknesses, they inadvertently helped their children to fall into a conclusion saying, “I am not good enough”.

This is not about good or bad parenting. Often the most fantastic parents have had interactions with their child too, where the child concludes, “I am not good enough”, based on his/her own internal evaluation criteria when certain events have unfolded.

The consequences of such an internal conclusion is very disabling in business life, because our ability to be adventurous in our decisions becomes compromised. Not only that, “I am not good enough”, will only bring in events proving this to be the case.

  2. I Am Afraid To Make Mistakes!

  3. Often in family homes, fear-based parenting is used to create discipline and conformity, all innocently undertaken to attempt to bring the best out of their children.

Similarly schooling that is driven by right/wrong and school grades, forces children to be hungry for success, based on an outside measure of them. Children are not encouraged to look for their uniqueness, but instead are being hypnotized to compete with their skills.

No child would want to make mistakes, if they felt that their survival or evaluation is at threat. If making a mistake is met by punishment/shame/discrimination and adverse consequences, then the child would naturally become afraid to make further so called “mistakes”.

They would hold themselves back into their future, even if they know better, because of the memory that there is a risk that they are going to be criticized.

Although everyone has good intentions, with this type of fear used in parenting and schooling, sometimes curiosity begins to get affected, exploration lessens, and a willingness to try new things becomes curtailed too.

All initiatives we might undertake under the cloud of fear will become less adventurous and less pro-active.  Our internal confidence is damaged and fear forces us to live a partial life, where we settle for remaining unfulfilled.  This is a lose-lose outcome for everyone.

Modern times are calling for all business to be carried out with a fearless attitude, in order to stay innovative and on the leading edge. If we embody everything in life as a learning experience, and not about right and wrong, then the fear of making mistakes becomes a distant memory!

In order for this to become a real reality, we have to undo disabling fears to encourage the spirit of joy and abundant ideas to flow again.

  4. I Am Afraid To Trust Myself (Finding Intuition)

  5. If we have been through life and found that our inherent desires/ideas/inspiration have been inadvertently judged as inappropriate, naïve, and thus criticized or squashed, our ability to trust our own judgment naturally becomes sabotaged too.

We don’t know how to access our power and stand up against those that have authority, even though they might be prejudiced in some way.

Our mind is calculative and lives in duality, left/right, this way/that way, there/here, yes/no, right/wrong, positive/negative etc etc. The mechanism of our mind finds it very difficult to trust, especially since it has a job to protect us from the unknown!

We thus have to be educated to follow our gut instinct, with understanding that the mind can never assist us in our evolution.  The mind is the cause of our problems, and not the solution, as it is simply a tool for use.  Naturally the muscle to be able to trust our own inner knowing through our gut instinct can only be unleashed, if we use it more often!

To connect with the soft voice of our intuition and our internal guidance system is the key to readily assist us in business life.

The art has to be to overcome fears and re-awaken the connection to our gut instinct. As each fear is transformed our trust in life increases, and the unknown becomes more and more exciting. The stress in business life falls away too, if we stay in touch with our inner knowing.

  6. The Myth Of Hard Work

  7. If the above three conclusions have been made, these beliefs would result in an attitude that also believes that all business success can only be ours through hard work! I am not good enough, would force us to seek outside approval, be less independently decisive and be constantly wasting effort on superficial and less risky action.

Had we known that we are imperfectly perfect, our creative juices would have remained flowing even during challenging times, and thus joy would have fueled our business life, rather than the idea of hard work.

A trusting and creative response to business challenges never has at heart any fear of making a mistake. This type of person never fears taking risks, never fears being on the leading edge with their ideas.

These type of people are fueled by internal joy to try new things, and an understanding that there is nothing except experiences in life, that allow us to fine tune our power. Our ability to achieve business success without stress is more likely to unfold with this type of confidence too.

The ability to trust ourselves is absolutely critical to a feeling of flowing with business life and being present to respond with grace. Not following our gut would lead to less targeted action and naturally stops decisions that would have helped us to thrive.

What we love unfolds naturally if we are creative, as joy is naturally experienced from within.  This is much more possible if we know we are enough, we know how to trust ourselves, and we understand that following our mind is dangerous ahead of our gut instinct.

  8. True Transformational Change Happens At A Cellular Level

  9. Even if cognitively we see that we are unique with our separate talents and gifts, unless we transmute the power of the old comparison and competitive based childhood beliefs and conclusions, that are stored in the cells of our body, our inherent ability to thrive in business will continue to be undermined. This is fact.

The trick is to transform the old beliefs out of the cells of our body, so they no longer run as invisible programs.  As soon as the cells are changed, we unleash creative excellence effortlessly without having to reframe our thoughts, and without having to dig deep with mind chatter to solve!

As this happens we become less judgmental too, since this is just a mind mechanism.

Science has proven that by merely expressing out a fear out aloud, its power begins to diminish. This is a very quick trick to use to change the power of disabling fears.

Meditation can help us to come closer to recognizing the voice of our inner gut, and as we follow this voice, with increase our ability to trust ourselves too.

Using revolutionary techniques such as the Dalian Method, old childhood beliefs of not feeling good enough become transformed at great ease, and all at a cellular level.

With these type of tools, the exciting thing is that our behavior improves, and along with that our social and emotional intelligence too.

As this type of evolution happens internally, our business life flows with greater and greater ease. A true win-win! Inside and out.

Transform Your Challenges With This New Leadership Outlook

Transform Your Challenges With This New Leadership Outlook

Have you ever considered the similarities between raising a child and being an entrepreneur?

Here’s four factors to consider in your entrepreneurial life and its similarities between raising a family and embracing a new leadership that can transform your challenges:

  1. Responsibility

When we bring a new child into this world, we don’t always realize at the outset, the magnitude of our decision.

We have stepped into a life-long commitment of being totally responsible for nurturing this new soul and creating a solid value based foundation for this child to learn from. We simultaneously, have to teach our child how to move from dependence to independence, by helping them to see their capabilities and showing them how to trust themselves.

This is a tricky balance, since at the outset this same child could not have survived without us, and one day he/she must! We have to make it safe for them to learn from their mistakes, and model self-forgiveness as we evolve and move along our life journey.

Similarly, in business our enterprise requires the same diligence and care. 24/7 care, whilst it is nurtured into being strong enough to run automatically, initially it is totally dependent on us, and our precise care and 100% commitment.

Our customers thrive in their experience with us, only if the service we provide is based on a solid foundation of values that consistently show they can:

    • Trust us
    • Receive outstanding delivery of service to fulfill their needs
    • Be treated as a “first” priority on our agenda
    • Have communication/connection that is always authentic and transparent

Our entrepreneurial venture asks us to be as responsible to it unconditionally, just as we would be naturally inclined to offer unconditionally to our offspring.

Maintaining functional family dynamics takes skill, and incorporates mutual trust for one another, transparent and authentic communication, just as is seen in the list that constitutes a great customer experience.

  2. Fear

Each new decision in our venture brings up doubt and fear.

What is the next step? Is it a risk too big or one that cannot be avoided? What if this doesn’t work out? What if we make a mistake? What if we don’t try, then what is at stake? How can we get past this roadblock? How can we expand? How can we optimize our finances?

The future is one big road of unknown realities, a road not traveled before. It brings both great days, tough days, and days of respite.

You see, just like when a child takes its first step, first school visit, first adventure alone, we are filled with doubts, worry, fears of the unknown. The doubts are the same. We might try to control the circumstances to minimize our uncertainties but the more we control, the greater we stifle creativity, freedom and a flowing relationship with our children.

Similarly, we cannot control anything in our entrepreneurial life either.
We can only experiment, and through trying, and living through the experience, we learn, adjust and fine-tune our way into success.

If we tried to cap our initiatives, we would not have the thrill and joy that comes from creating new ideas, and if we force products to come to market with great attachment, we lose out on the joy that comes from expansion and growth, when we are being guided to take a u-turn.

Facing the unknown as an experience of mystery and wonder, instead of fear and control is key to attaining a competent and effective perspective on our life journey.

Courage is needed in all decisions, as risk taking comes with the territory of facing the unknown, but this courage needs to come with a dose of excitement to await what is around the corner and about to be revealed by the unknown!

  3. Motivation

Some days we are energized, some we are sick. Throughout we cannot simply check out and decide that we are taking a day off from raising our child! Even if we need desperate rest, we always need someone else to step in to babysit if our offspring are small.

The same is true of our entrepreneurial venture…it has to be baby-sat. If we need to take a break, we can feel challenged to know how to safely “switch off” at the necessary times.

We have to be self- motivated to keep our vision alive whilst it slowly manifests into reality! Whatever the challenges, we have to show up with enthusiasm.

Self-motivation is key to success in business and at home. In each, deadlines truly help to keep our juices focused.

For example, a new customer pitch requires much effort to prepare for in a professional manner. This is much the same as your child preparing and practicing to try out for a new school team sport. The child knows without motivation, participation and performance might be curtailed. In our business, without consistently high self-motivation to keep the reasons behind our vision in the forefront of our mind, the venture simply cannot thrive.

  4. New Leadership

As events arise that are outside our daily control, and surface from the unknown, we are being asked to contemplate on a significant question. How do we lead effectively, so that we might enjoy an entrepreneurial venture and not filled with debilitating stressful doubt and worry about the unknown?

Most of us know that our attempts to control are futile, and yet we often struggle to surrender to what is flowing into our life, often confusing this idea with weakness.

We can become emotionally challenged because we instinctively are programmed to attempt to “fix” the problems. We get laden with anxiety, worry and stress in this process, without recognition of the bigger picture.

If more of us had been educated to understand that we are being called to transform these problems instead of fixing them, we would know how to “handle” challenges without internal angst, and a new form of leadership would be born.

Instead of accepting anxiety, stress and worry as a normal way of living, we would immediately recognize that these signs indicate we are on the wrong course!

In much the same way, arguments, anger, tears in the home-place are signs to indicate that something is ready to be addressed, transformed and irrevocably shed. We would know that we are being called to lead in a different way to the old status quo.

This new leadership is an invitation to transform our problems, gives us a chance to understand them without resistance, and helps us to learn from them.

With this type of leadership, we can evolve into greater joy and creativity, and in the process we get to shed all sight of unconscious patterns that have held us back previously.

Our personality also modifies during this type of leadership, into a more emotionally intelligent version that can now support us into greater success and simultaneously only benefit our fellow counterparts in life too!

This type of new leadership is extremely liberating and uplifting, improves relationships into greater unity, but also the “old challenges” simply fall away, as we embrace this new version of ourselves.

Doubt, worry, stress, and fears simply vanish. For this way of being, we first must change the direction of our attention. We have to be willing and keen to change our internal state and recognize that we are responsible for it, and on-one else can be.

If we are worried, anxious, fearful etc, we have “work” to do, so that these traits can be eliminated, and instead we can grow and learn how to embody peace calm and tranquility that radiates joy, and no lack at all times.

This type of leadership is very easily possible using practical tools such as the Self Healing/Empowering Dalian Method.

The Purpose Behind Our Five Biggest Stressors

The Purpose Behind Our Five Biggest Stressors How to Cope When Dealing With the Death of a loved one, Divorce, A Move, A Major Illness, or A Job Loss

How to Cope When Dealing With the Death of a Loved One, Divorce, A Move, A Major Illness, or A Job Loss

As we tread through the maze of living we all face some form of adversity.  For some of us, we are blessed with fewer significant stressors and for others they keep coming one after the other.

In 2004 I faced a major job loss. In 2006, moved to a new country and during 2007 encountered illness. In 2012 and 2014, I watched my husband go through a cancer diagnosis and the associated fear of death and during 2015 we jointly went through the possibility of divorce.

The five main stressors that human beings can face, as portrayed on varying health sites, have been experienced in our family life in the last decade in one form or another.

The Purpose Behind Suffering

When under stress, the meaning of life immediately gets questioned as we face devastation that is out of our control.

The purpose behind suffering inevitably has to be questioned if we are curious and perhaps our life is consequently re-evaluated.

Our relationships and our business goes through the swing of strain and strength.

As our volatile emotions of anger, grief and misunderstandings arise our weakest parts are exposed and challenged.

This acts as a platform and an opportunity to find our confidence and strength, the opposite paradigm to our insecurities and weakness.

The Benefits of Contemplation

As we contemplated in our family, a new realization arose for me. If we are blessed with a determined and courageous spirit, we can look for the silver lining in adversity, rather than simply enduring and suppressing our fears.  This is also true as we navigate through the ups and downs of our business success.

For me, becoming weighed down was a gift in disguise. As human beings we are so versatile and capable and this is what gives us dignity.

The School of Life and Its Lessons

We all have patterns that we follow. Some of us have a mind that is driven by fear of survival and our need to earn a living as a key priority.

Others have patterns of embracing insignificance and hiding behind procrastination and neediness.

Some of us may control more than be adventurous and spontaneous.

Whatever our pattern, none of us would really want to miss out on life and stay trapped living an unfulfilled life. That idea alone makes me very sad.

To not experience the lessons we came to see about ourselves, is an opportunity missed.

As death is escapable, we might as well gain something worth keeping in our journey of existence on this planet.

When we uncover our patterns and transform them into greater light we simultaneously become more loving towards everyone, including our clients and team members.

We begin to understand love beyond biological love and that becomes a deeply rewarding lesson. The more we have personally suffered, the more empathetic and caring we become of those around us too, so all our explorations yield great benefits.

The Purpose of Stressors

In my explorations I have come to see that at every opportunity life is encouraging us to trust and surrender to its wisdom.

We are being asked to let go of our control and clinging attitude to our known reality and instead embrace action that helps us to bring light to our shadow personality.

For me finding the extraordinary tool, the Dalian Method, has been the equivalent of finding that one magical needle in a giant haystack of potential solutions.

This genie has offered answers to my deepest questions and aided my journey towards amazing liberation and freedom.

With this tool I have understood why I had suffered. I understood how to come out of suffering irrevocably. I learnt how to embrace life with a renewed optimistic and fearless response. I learnt how to evolve beyond my limiting beliefs and conditionings so that past trauma could be permanently dissolved and not have to be repeated.

Best of all the Dalian Method has made me a better me, a more loving and caring version and thus I now get to enjoy a better quality of life and improved relationships.

What about you? Do you know how to get to the root cause of adversity and quickly eradicate it from your body?

I invite a discussion on how you have handled your stressors in life. What transformation have you experienced? How has it improved your life?

How Judgment at Home Can Lead to Happiness

How Judgment at Home Can Lead to Happiness

What is Judgment?

We are all familiar with that voice inside our head and the conclusions it draws as it encounters life. A judgment is merely a personal perception, an evaluation that includes complaint, perhaps criticism and often blame. It may also involve some form of self-defense.

Judgment and its connection with the mind

Our mind has a natural ability to review, discern, calculate and evaluate since it is functioning from a space that is designed to protect us. Thus judgment is an extension of a mind conclusion, aimed at helping us.

The paradox is that with judgment poorly resolved, conflict and misery follow too, so instead of feeling protection, we often feel vulnerable when we have judged another. In defending our position, our buttons get triggered, misunderstandings arise, and emotional wounds evolve.

All family strife is a by-product of some judgment that has arisen and subsequently been mishandled.

Purpose behind judgment

Family strife alone, is motivation enough to eradicate judgment but how many of us actually know how to do this effectively?

I for one, had no idea of the jewel that exists to transform differences in an everlasting way. I found after an arduous journey of misery, that judgment could only fall away permanently through another mechanism that assists the mind to discern differently and this mechanism is called self-awareness.

Self-awareness is a very important quality that if encouraged in the family home, ensures that conflict and misery can be transformed dramatically.

I have three children, aged 14, 19 and 23, and had I not been introduced to practical principles of heightening self-awareness back in 2008, my communication and honest relationship with them would not have been as effective as it is today.

I am separate and I am different to you… and that is what I am protecting when I stand in judgment of you!

Ironically, all the while a person is judging a person outside of them, they are guaranteed to be judging themselves internally too…causing inner angst, unhappiness and division. Often the inner voice is even harsher towards “self” than it is towards others, fuelling the miserable idea of non-acceptance of oneself!

This becomes the saddest human phenomena- striving for a mis-conceived idea of perfection, instead of embracing full acceptance of our own presence and beauty as it stands each day!

This is thus the real purpose behind judgments: to help us to be aware of our own inner division and help us to take responsibility for this state so that we might dissolve the angst, and learn how to become truly happy again.

Feel complete inside and embrace our worthiness

With growing self-awareness, a new form of happiness evolves, which disregards what is flowing outside of us. This happiness is generated from our own inner voice that miraculously drops stress, worry, shame or guilt naturally and becomes friendly, life affirmative, creative and truly blissful.

Imagine what it would feel like to have a family life in which everyone embraces one another, where mutual respect and love takes precedence and conflict dissolves swiftly as each person begins to work together!

Where each person becomes willing to be vulnerable, and honest, avoiding suppression of thought, and yet still succeed in remaining united.

Once we consciously embark upon the journey of transforming our judgments away, we simultaneously claim our individual gifts too and learn how to be truly compassionate towards one another. This is what happens when our inner voice finally accepts itself, without judgment.

Our Soul’s natural ability is to feel love

At the core, each of our souls recognize the truth of unconditional love, and we have all somewhere agreed to be on a journey that helps us to evolve from a state of incompleteness, back into wholeness.

We are continuously being presented with the opportunity to embrace the idea that we can move up the human ladder of evolution, by finding the tools to advance our awareness so that we might learn who we truly are. With this a chance to feel euphoric by experiencing the unconditional love we are seeking outside of ourselves stands as our prize.

The Responsibility to find unity and drop judgment

As judgment is effortless for the mind to engage in, and the soul has a natural ability to recognize unconditional love, the question that arises is “How can we bridge the gap between these two states?” so that the heart might override the mind and we can take responsibility to find that bridge.

The mind is effectively our ego personality, our idea of a separate existence. All too often, we find solutions that engage the mind, without realizing that it is the mind itself that is the root of the problems, and thus it cannot get us out of trouble!

This is where I went wrong for many years, until I had the good fortune to fall into the wisdom of the mystics. They work with meta- psychology, ie they bypass the mind in their solutions and achieve truly profound and everlasting changes.

They help us to embark on the task to find out and become aware of all the different faces we have, and as we unearth each mask and see what fear or otherwise was driving us to behave a certain way, we become increasingly compassionate towards others.

Kindness always kills inner angst and helps the journey away from judgment

Pretending to be kind, where we have been wronged and forcing yourself to forgive, only creates greater inner division and inauthenticity, even if it is what society has enforced on us.

However in true kindness, where we respect, love and accept ourselves fully, we are able to then truly accept everyone around us without judgment too. For this to happen we need to see our humanness, our jealousy, our insincerity, our rage, our fears, our desires, our misplaced thoughts, and our changing volatile emotions.

True kindness arises when we have embraced the shadow side of our personality but also our shining side too.

When we have accepted our own uniqueness and our own gifts, our talents, and grace, and when we know we are living our life on purpose. True contentment arises and true thriving arises, beyond any fulfillment that can be defined by material success.

Ego Personality separates because it is afraid of thriving!

However, we all need to mindful that the ego personality is afraid in circumstances of unity, happiness and true joy… it is truly afraid of expansion and ecstasy! It is this deep fear that prevents many from making the journey of self-exploration and self-awareness in the first place.

So despite the existence of this fear, I invite each of you to reclaim the great heights of unity and joy that reside within you, and consciously take steps towards heightened self-awareness.

  • Do you experience conflict in your home?
  • Do you wish to have better communication with your children?
  • Do you wish to have your partner be more supportive and loving?
  • Do you wish to have a family life, where each is confident, empowered, self-motivated and joyous?
  • Do you want existing judgment to lead you to happiness?

If you have found yourself answering yes to any of these questions I invite you to come forward for a free 30 minute, no obligation, revitalization consult, and lets together determine a new practical pathway to happiness.

Why Bill Gates is Wrong; Life IS Absolutely Fair

Why entrepreneurs should see adversity as an opportunity

Why Bill Gates is Wrong; Life IS Absolutely Fair

Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about eleven things that kids did not learn in their time at school. The eleven points are believed to come from an educator, called Charles Sykes from his book “Dumbing Down our Kids”.

Of course because of Bill Gates’ success these rules may get etched into the minds of the people listening as if they are sacred rules, or perhaps they would have acted as fuel for contemplation… I hope the latter is true.

Rule 1 states Life is not fair- so get used to it, and I began to wonder about this statement and the likely upside or downside of sharing it with our new generation of entrepreneurs, business leaders and change-makers in such a categorical way.

Yes, life will bring different circumstances to different people, and yes on the surface a “good person” may end up facing many adversities and other “not so nice people” may enjoy successes perceived to be unjust.

Yes three siblings born to the same parents will end up enjoying three very different lives and extremely different to those born in an underdeveloped world, but is it ALL because life is not fair?

Yes, all entrepreneurs and business leaders need to be psychologically equipped for life and thus not feel entitled and roll over at the first adversity that they face in the world, but how appropriate is it to plant a seed that sounds so disempowering?

I definitely remember in my younger years feeling sorry for myself that life had turned out to be so unfair, according to my perception, but I know that none of those emotions truly served me, and in fact caused me excessive suffering that could have been avoided, had I been directed better.

My own take on this rule is that it could be as much misleading and disempowering, as much as it was intended to be a reality check to force our new generation to work at their dreams and visions with sacred determination.

From what I have seen, based on my own lived experiences, the world has manifested  like a mathematical formula- so it has proved to be absolutely accurate in every minute for every chapter of my life.

Despite adversities that I have had to face, every occurrence in my life was designed to help me gain inner strength and reclaim my power, and thus in the end every “unfair event” helped me to take full responsibility for my life, and so I have no complaint…..it was totally fair because I gained so much!

The world wants evolution in consciousness and growth in self-awareness, and so everything that happens is designed to assist us with that objective. In the end the world is like a big school in which we get to learn how to live our fullest potential, and transcend the lower vibrational traits of competitiveness, jealousy, separation, etc. etc. and reach up to the ecstatic state of living in creative joy and love.

We as human beings are like radio frequencies emitting a certain “vibration”, and when we are emitting “well-being” internally, naturally life then bestows us with external circumstances that offer us a matched state of well being, be that in our health or in our business life/ home life.

Like attracts like. There is nothing unfair about this arrangement.

When we emit a vibration of “negativity, victimhood, helplessness, lack of self worth” etc. etc., of course life then quickly offers us outside circumstances that match this state of lack.

Again, like a mathematical formula life is attracting like with like.

To be educated in this understanding early on and be shown in a practical way, how to increase our vibration to a better state of allowing, we become empowered to see life as an opportunity and not something that has to be endured because it is not fair!

Endurance is an old paradigm of thinking and the accompanied resilience is not a badge of honor that we must get used to wearing. Instead we must learn to look for the silver lining in every occurrence and take charge to heighten our own vibration.

Each generation arrives more intelligent than the previous one. Perhaps this new generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs do not want to live in a world of hard toil and sweat where they are forced to prove their worth? And in the process they become manipulated by their fellow beings to become obedient commodities in the current status quo of society.

I courageously declare that life is doing what it needs to do and there is nothing unfair about it.

Yes there is much suffering, but that suffering is man made, through our egos created by false beliefs and conditionings. To condition anyone into a rule that says “life is not fair- so get used to it” is discouraging. Instead lets inspire one another to increase our vibration and step out of those old conditionings that are no longer serving us. Old patterns and behaviors of living are not necessarily right just because we found a way to cope.

As a CEO, I found a way to hide my fear, but that certainly did nothing to help me! Because the more I hid the fear, the more life sent me circumstances that were frightening.

Like attracts like. The responsibility to change and transform that fear was mine, and until I did so, my world could not be altered for the better. If I had stayed in the loop of endurance I was guaranteed poor health and stress that I had begun to experience! I suffered from angina problems, along with vertigo and sleepless nights from the excessive stress.

So lets move with the mantra that says life is absolutely fair.

It will always lovingly offer us what we need, so that we might grow wings to truly fly, so keep looking out for the silver lining in every situation and take charge to find your bliss and success…. because it is absolutely waiting for YOU!
